Respect for others

Meso brothers, I have been visiting other boards and have heard a lot of negative comments about meso, our board. The most common is that is that we are internet tough guys, talking shit, using profane and insulting language. I have been posting on meso for a lot of years and I have always been proud to visit other boards as a meso member, but not so much anymore, and I can't say I entirely disagree. The use of profane and insulting language has no place here or on any other board.

I can't think of another board in which it happens with such regularity as it does here. We all have done it from time to time. I am no exception. Lets clean it up some and try to communicate intelligently. Folks will take us more seriously and it will be a better reflection on us and our board.

What up my brother. I agree, at one point it was like walking on egg shells around here...I've been gone awhile, hopefully things have changed a bit

The only thing I am looking for out of this thread is for members to treat fellow member with respect and anyone who comes to this board. Things have been heading in the wrong direction here for some time. There is no disagreement that can't be settled with respectful and intelligent conversation.

I agree I believe its because everyone wants to build there virtual status by insulting other members. And get kiddos for rather than actually contribute to the board. We all have diffrent ways of contributing like I for example post alot of internet security tips post news and some funny shit along the way. It takes work. While some rather build there credibility by being internet tough guys. Its one thing to do it to sources. But I see it being done to brothers way to often. That just my 2cents

Yea, and respek your Elderly Vets

I agree with you. You shouldn't be too hard on Meso though. I came here because my old "go to" board is full of what you're describing. Seems like way more criticism and ridicule than actual help there, and it all depends on the mood somebody is in. Its especially sickening to me when somebody is new in the AAS world and they just get dogpiled. We all benefit from honest discussion rather than devolving into name calling.
I am amazed by how many helpful and knowledgeable bros are on here.

Hey BP, how you been? I've seen a few despicable displays on here, but it seems like it is happening much too often lately. It's tough to learn when a majority of the posts are just people picking fights. Arrogance and disrespectful behavior is what irks me most of all.

Thanks PI. This is just an appeal for all of us to treat each other and visitors with respect. I don't care who they are. We all look out for our board and each other. I just think there is a better way to do it than what we have been doing.

Just tired of going to other boards and hearing from members, not sources, how we conduct ourselves. Even the scammer can be told in a civil way to screw off. I believe we will all benefit from having a home board that we can all be proud of.

I agree with you BP, I am still new here and I have been reading a lot of posts and it makes me a little timid to ask questions or post anything. I hope this thread gets through to some of the guys that don't think before they type.

I agree bro. We are alpha males on steroids. We can do better though.
I'm not saying that we have let our guard down, just express our opinions differently.
I have been posting on meso for years and it has always been edgy. I just want meso to be a better place where we take care of business in a way we all benefit from and can be proud of.

BP you are one of the first guys to really welcome me when I showed up, you were very receptive and helpful, and I asked A LOT of questions ;)

I try to be receptive of everyone, and help with any little input or experience I may have to offer however modest it may be. Lately I must admit I have snapped at a few guys, there has been a lot of stress in my professional life and although it's not an excuse I am guilty of letting it vent in the wrong places at times. If a guy comes in with a good attitude, I am more receptive to them. Lately a few members that I thought may have been a little smug or condescending I may have let them know what I thought, but really I should practice more patience. Thank you for bringing this to my attention, I greatly value and respect your opinion BP and I will take it as constructive criticism to do better on my part. All I can aim for is to try to be HALF as welcoming to guys their first week here as you were/are to myself, and even that is pretty lofty expectations.

It's easy to get dragged down to the lowest common denominator. The internet, and instant forms of communication,. have encouraged a "speak first, think later" approach to interaction with others. Ask yourself: does this need to be said? does it need to be said by me? does it need to be said by me right now?

I write plenty of shitty posts. Then stop, and ask myself if i really need to whip my dick out and wave it around. The answer is almost invariably "no." I then delete rather than hit "post reply."

Civility is a dying art. Let's try and revive it. Thanks for posting this, BP, it did need to be said, by you, right now. :D
