Respect for others

@4leafclover well stated. New people need to be treated well, because for every new person that posts with a question that we deem as ill conceived there are a couple hendred people that will see our reactions to that question and decide whether or not to sign up and post themselves. The future of the board depends on new members- especially considering the aforementioned huge turnover problem with members.

I have since realized I do have a division in my behavior... when I am in training, nutrition, cycling and new member introductions I really am oozing respect- I truly want to help. I really don't disrespect people who deserve it.

When I am in the underground things are different. This is the streets that people sell drugs on. I am dead serious and I trust no source. I have no reason to because I am yet to find a trustworthy PUBLIC source. Every source that comes here simply cannot afford to source on a pay board, so we get all t he broke bitches looking to scam

If you are new, in the underground and defending a source- look out. I am gonna get your ass.

If you are easily offended or don't like a pack mentality stay out of the underground. I have met countless drug dealers in my life and very few (if any) were without the idiosyncratic behaviors that typify the illegitimate drug trade. I don't care about fucks and shits on the street- just gimmie what I pay for or get your fucking head stomped on till my foor breaks.

well I have gotten the idiot tag way too much, cause my opinion differs from the pack. there are no set rules on how to run AAS. the site should be informative and helpful, not lets see how far we can be little someone until they leave.

I want to first and foremost apologize if I ever disrespected you. I don't think you are a bad person. I think we originally perceived you in the wrong way. As long as we can all agree there are multiple experiences from different standpoints we are all on the same page here at meso. A page that sustains a vast pool of knowledge because the more we are all able to critique on a subject the better understanding we can all achieve towards that.

that was all I was bring to Meso, a different way of going about using AAS. I would like to apologize too, cause I know we did not hit it off at all. :)

Thanks dper726

i really don't see over the line internet tough guys. If you post bullshit you'll get called on it, fuck sources that cant seal with the vets here

@4leafclover,

To answer question, none. No one should be treated "without dignity." Ever. If there is something you're reading that bothers you so much that you're unable to handle yourself and conduct yourself appropriately, then perhaps you should step away until you can share your opinion in a mature and intelligent fashion. Is that really too much to ask of one another?

EDIT: this is simply my opinion and not directed at any one person.

@brutus79 your kinda right,on the steroid forum part there are a lot of newbs that dont even introduce them self want to be spoon fed sources good or bad source don't just want anyone going asking dumb ? I'm always trying to aware of new member telling them welcome to meso read learn ask enjoy some just jump into sources MESO has a lot to offer from training labmax blood work even a ranting thread but we should be helpful to the one that ask nicely not every newb asking where are the sources is this one good it's that one tell me tell me nah not me piss off do your home work then come back into a thread and ask or at least make a comment before anything hand outs

I really enjoy reading the discourse that is displayed here. I agree with BP about people who post stupid questions needing help. But what irritates me, is when they snap back because it isn't what they wanted to hear. At that point, I usually just monitor the thread and hope that they eventually realize what is best for themselves. For the most part, I believe that people who offer advice are really trying to help.

Big Paul you truly have a valid Point and i do respect you're creating this Thread. I was shocked the way everyone is interacting toward others that i don't see on others Boards.
I have been on BBing Board for 11yrs nothing like this, I recall the only bad ass i bumped head with was GRIZZLY (RIP) buddy we became best friend for decade i truly missed him.
Needless to say there are so much potential on here by sharing Knowledge and passing to MESSO community. The main issue i see the most members member less then a Yr on here Tarnish Sources with not enough evidence, Most importantly exposing sensitive details NOT a good Sign as i have mentioned DA/LE are sitting back and taking notes.
I Hope we could make this community better place with more welcoming New members as well more approved competitive Sourcing.
I was gone for a couple of years and when I came back I noticed no more posts from Grizzly, which I missed...sorry to hear he's gone. Not trying to pry, but what happened?

I was waiting for you to respond to this. I think you made a lot of really good and valid points, especially about the underground. It is basically a place where anyone can try and slang shit gear. Its good to have guys that put an end to it before it gets out of hand, plus its funny as fuck watching you and johnnyballz cutting them down. And people do need to have thick skin to be in the underground, its the nature of the beast. Its definately no bodybuilding dot com BS.

It still comes down to respect, i don't respect everyone. I still believe that respect must be earned. Could i be a little more cordial? Probably. Will i go on a twenty page war of words with someone? Never. I see someone doing something retarded, i may call them a retard and let them know why. It's how learned best. i I'm not politically correct, but i'm not a biggot either. I have colorful language when speaking with friends and coleuges alike (minus the obsenities). Here on Meso I have full use of my verbal faculties. If you are here long enough, chances are you may garner some aspect of my respect, chances are you may not care. I am fine with this aswell. I bust balls and enjoy helping when i can. Chances are if you catch some shit from me, it's because you a.) haven't learned from previous mistakes b.) are riding a sources dick c.)are a source d.) giving out shitty advice e.) you have gone full retard. I'll be the first to admitt it, I am one of the most juvenial acting 35 year old I know. But I do have some great knowledge in my head and others trust me. I have a bunch of guys who call me daily, because i'm trying to help them get there life in line (how scary is that?) My point is I try to be a good person in life, and will TRY to be nicer to the noobs.......................unless they are being retards.

We may have disagreed before (protein requirements if I remember), but you always kept the conversation on track and made cogent points in favor of your argument. This is the kind of disagreements that provides readers with actual useful information from two different perspectives.

I agree with what you have to say more often then not and even when we are in disagreement it usually spawns a productive discussion that benefits those looking to learn.

Going against the grain will always attract the occasional agitator, someone who is looking to start a match rather than argue a particular point of view respectfully and professionally, and from what I've seen you do a good job of keeping things level headed and reasonable, and I like reading what you have to say, so its something I definitely have respect for, and its the same approach I try and take.

I really like @Denkallberry 's approach, raising the IQ of the conversation is something that I try and take into consideration.

I have seen instances where pissing matches that lasted several pages happened because people disagreed over something steroid or training related. In contrast, think about what happens when two people who disagree convey a cogent point without getting dragged down into a shitfest, even if someone else is clearly the agitator. Even if these disagreements take the thread off topic, you end up with really useful information from two different point of views. This benefits everyone, and a lot of time derailed threads have a way of getting back on topic (which is why I like the lax moderation approach -- things have a way of getting back on track naturally).

As for the Underground, I really have no major qualms with the abrasive way sources are dealt with and handled...the same applies to bad actors who wronged members. If someone has been wronged by someone and they feel the need to call them out, I really have no place telling them to cut it out unless I have been in their shoes. I don't feel it is appropriate for someone to talk about a pain they don't understand, which is why I don't personally get bothered by people going off on undesirables.

Sometimes it takes a little abrasiveness to see someones TRUE colors, we've seen this countless times: sources don't get the treatment they want and end up acting in a really undesirable way, information that wouldn't otherwise been apparent.

However sometimes pissing matches happen (outside of the underground) that are just ridiculous...if the two parties tried to argue respectfully in their posts rather than dragging down the IQ of the conversation, readers would ACTUALLY GET USEFUL INFORMATION from two different points of views. How is that not a good thing...?

Thanks weighted chinup :) I like discussions even if someone has a different point of view. I just don't like getting called names or belittled for my different point of views. that is why I got into so many pissing matches. lol

Thank you @Big_paul for raising this topic at this point and time. The recent level of personal attacks and abuse highlight an unfortunate side effect of an uncensored forum. I am pleased to see so many members speak up and offer input on this topic.

I don't see any reason to shift the forum policy towards increased moderation and/or censorship. The solution is having a community of like-minded individuals who truly care about the future of MESO. And we have that in abundance. With that, we can guide the direction this forum takes.

I am highly encouraged and appreciative by everyone's concern for improving the level of discussion and dialogue at MESO. Thank you!

This has went much better than I had anticipated. We have some very strong personalities posting here, and I have no problem with that what so ever. I call many of you friends as well. I think what is most important is that we are helpful to each other and the guys who wander in here looking for advice.
When I arrived, I didn't know my ass from a hole in the ground. Some members were helpful and other no so much, but I learned a lot here, and in time enough so I felt comfortable giving advice.
I'm not out to change anyone, that would go no where as we all know, and I'm the same. I have what I have to say and I will say it.
I think meso may be a more welcoming board, the guys who ask for help will receive it and the ones who don't listen will get the same treatment as always.
I have to be honest, if someone is pig headed, I don't mind the flames.
