Bald pro bodybuilders now vs. back in the day

There seems to be more bald body builders now then back in my hay day (80's and 90's). I think Al Beckles was the only "bald" guy on the circuit that I can recall. Most the drugs are the same, right? What changed besides the dosage(s) that would create so many bald Pro body builders?

I think there are just more people that do BB now than back in our day. more people with that bald gene on stage now days. some people like to shave their heads too. I keep my head buzz cut, cause I don't like messing with it anymore.

Frank McGrath wasn't bald last time I checked, but he shaved his head for the last two shows he did in Toronto and Tampa Bay. I don't know of any others he done last year. he got qualified for Mr. O. I don't know if he competed or not.

Bald head creates a more defined face and just overall appearance. Bodybuilding is a sport of deception.

I'm not saying that is mainly the reason, but rather a possibility. I like long hair up on top with skinned sides. But I just have a buzzcut for convenience at the moment. I don't know if I'll ever return back to the days where I spend more time then my wife prepping in the mirror.
