OLDSCHOOL UFC

Im bookmarkin that shit. Brutally fukin badass. Killa B Killed!!! Now thats what i like to call a CLASSIC;):p:D:cool:
It still blows my mind that they actually allowed groin shots. Nowadays they drop like a ton of bricks if they accidentally get hit in the dick but back then these fuckers were getting their nuts rocked and still kickin. Not to mention the headbuts and elbows and knee drops and head kicks on the ground. Basically all that cool shit they're not allowed to do anymore lol.

I remember the first ufc fights. No weight class and the only rule was no eye gouging, if I remember correctly. Plus they would have to fight like 3 fights in one day. Gracie won the first few, but his fights were kind of boring IMO. He had lots of skill on the floor but not very entertaining.

I found it kinda of awesome that Gracie could win his fights and remain champion with minimal brute force. Everyone else just beat the living shit out of each other like a bar fight (which is still awesome) but gracie used pure technique and skill to submit opponent after opponent. He was a fighter before his time and honestly I feel like he truly shaped the UFC into what it is today. True mixed martial arts. I have to admit though when it comes to entertainment it's hard to compete with elbows splitting faces open and teeth flying across the mat lol.

Yeah he definitely had skills and helped shape what the ufc is today. But when I was younger it was all about the blood and guts. Now days I can appreciate a good technical fight, but still don't mind seeing a good old fashioned slug fest.

As brutal as the early ufc was Im thankful it changed. The athletic commission was NOT going to sanction these fights. As senator John McCain called it "human cock fights". They were close to being shut down forever.

Change was inevitable if they wanted to survive. I still don't think we've seen the best ufc yet. Some amazing talent but the sport is still so young.

It's also nice to see the fertitta brothers and dana white are still airing free fights. If they were smart they will continue this strategy. That was a huge down fall for boxing when they took it and made everything ppv. The largest sport in america, football, is free including the big game. No reason to pay to watch.

Ya I especially liked the part when he drop kicked the ol boy in his head football field goal, soccer style lol. I'm surprised that didn't straight up kill the guy. You know that shit had to of lead him to some kind of braindamage!!! Vicious an ferocious type a shit right their. They sure don't do it like they used to...

Guys today are definitely more well rounded and technical but too many don't go for the finish and it's become somewhat like boxing where guys just try to win the round on points
