supps and cutting

multi vitamin / creatine / fish oil

I haven't started a cycle but I'm looking into clen / t3 where I'll add taurine into the regiment.

Is there anything I'm missing? From my research these seem to be the only necessities, where most everything else seems like a waste of $$.

No supplements nor clen/T3 are necessities. The only necessity to cut and save muscle mass is to get enough protein, eat in a calorie deficit, and keep intensity high and cut some volume in the gym. Everything else is is it icing on the cake

Great advice Doc, I'm doing it right now. Only taking fish oil and b 12. Oh, and I throw in some glutamine in my protein shakes.

What's your thoughts on adding CLA to my current fish oil, B 12 and glutamine? Heard that it helps with fat loss.

I'm not a fan of supps for cutting. Most of them only help when deficient in them or their physiologic effects are so minor they're not worth it or even noticeable. Here's a good review on CLA

Thanks for the quick reply and link, looks like I got lucky today because I had a bottle of it in my hand at walgreens and said let me ask the experts. Now , it did say that TTA, Tetradecyl Thioacetic Acid, seems more effective than CLA. Whats your thoughts on that, worth a shot? I don't like any kind of upper like ephedrine which are in most fat burners. That's why I am hoping for a more natural solution in addition to my diet and training.

The link stated TTA appears to be more promising but they also go on to state a lack of human data means it's all conjecture at this point. I'm not aware of any current research on it though.

A friend of mine has come up with this protocol and claims results for himself and others but I have not personally ran it nor attempted research into the compounds suggested.

Chromium: 800mcg daily
Synephrine: 10 mg (1 scoop), for 3 days, if you feel OK, increase to 20 mg (2 scoops)
EGCG: 600mg daily (that's 600mg of EGCG, not to be confused with total green tea extract)

No you want methylsynephrine. Normal synephrine doesn't work from the literature I've seen.
