I imagine there is some correlation with T levels -> body hair growth -> strength/hypertrophy. You ever notice most of the biggest dudes are bald with a lot of body hair? DHT...it's a well known fact beards make you stronger...it's science

Shit...Either way, gear or natty -> DHTright?
I'm not looking to do them properly per say. I think with the mass of the upper body all working in unison more so than the bench press. I would absolutely say I should pack on dense lean muscle in the shoulders, triceps and back as all are used maximally to move the weightClean and jerks done properly are not good mass builders. They are a great lift but if you're looking for mass look elsewhere

Maybe not a good mass builder for trukker...someone that's already a pretty well developed BB. But would you agree if you took a kid in HS with no experience and threw him into a fullbody olympic routine he would grow at a faster rate than the undeveloped athlete that focuses on a 5day body split with isolation?Clean and jerks done properly are not good mass builders. I've seen string beans get thick quick. Different kind of thick, idk if that makes sense
as evident by more overly developed traps and baby armsFor sure I'd rather have ppl do full body workouts and Olympic lifts with good coaching and I agree a new guy will get bigger. But a new guy will get bigger from anything he does. He's that maladapted to training that almost any stimulus will spurt growth. The issue I have with Oly lifts for mass though, like I said in the previous post, is they must be done for low reps to maintain the explosive aspect of the lift. Low reps (<3) will not benefit much in terms of growth. In terms of acceleration, explosion, power, Nd strength yes I do love them

soooo uhhh whatcha think about "crossfit"? @Docd187123For sure I'd rather have ppl do full body workouts and Olympic lifts with good coaching and I agree a new guy will get bigger. Well here is the logic. The Olympic lifts are meant to be performed for extreme speed. By nature of the lift you cannot and should not do hem slowly or you lose most of the benefit. Bc of this you need to use them for low reps not high reps. Cleans shouldn't be done for more than 5reps in a set and that's pushing it. Trips, doubles and singles are a much better choice. Working with that low volume per set makes them a poor mass lift.
Seems your traps respond more than your arms do. For me it's my tris that respond the fastestas evident by more overly developed traps and baby arms

Well here is the logic.
1)the lift starts as a heavy upright row
2)moves to heavy front press
Both the upright row and front press are known and accepted mass builders in any bb diet. Endorsed by my two favorites Arnold and Ferrigno. I will be performing them in reps 6 or under. I'm not doing them in olympic form I was just looking to pick up hints in to eh hum cheat them in to position or as an olympic lifter would say technique. As I'm using muscle to move them. In the way I do it. It really just is an upright row followed by a press developing the delts and triceps alike
