Ruckin's first cycle log: test cyp only [IV gear]

Damn I just realized my 1 year anniversary on meso was 5 days ago. It's been a great year here!

Just finished lifting heavy for the first time in 6 days. I took a little deload again and it definitely worked. Felt crazy strong tonight.

I also hit a big PR on my paused incline bench of 10 reps! That's been a big goal for a while now.

Oh... And I also weighed 277 in the gym for my chins tonight :D

Power cleans: 205x1x5
Press: 195x4,4,4,4,6
Paused parallel squats: 225x3x3
Rack pulls: 495x10x3 (straps)
Barbell holds: 315x26 sec x2 (double overhand)
Paused incline bench: 225x8,10
Chins: 277x5x4
Curls: 45sx10x4

That 195x6 on my strict press was exciting too.

I snapped a quick pic too before I left the gym. Had a decent pump in my biceps so it doesn't count but hey, better than nothing right?

277 Hell Yeah Ruck!!! You're Swole!! Lots of hard work brother...you're gonna have an awesome rugby season!! PR incline...nice!!

I did this workout yesterday, just logging it today:

power clean: 255x1x8
Bench: 255x12x3
Paused parallel Squat: 355x3x5, 355x5x1
Barbell rows: 235x8x4
Paused incline bench: 225x10x1 (elbow flaring up bad)
Shrugs: 460x12x3 (straps)
Barbell holds: 315x27 sec x2 (double overhand)
GHRs: bwx8x3
Weighted planks: 100x32 sec x2
Side raises: 45sx12x4

Great workout except for just one thing... My elbow tendonitis or whatever is wrong with it is flaring up again. I benched 315 as my last warm up set and my elbow was NOT having it. I took a big hit to my ego, cause I was planning to do 320x4x5, but it wasn't worth the risk of fucking my elbow up worse than it already is, just for a little better strength gain from the lower reps. Sucks but not the end of the world, so I switched back to 3 sets of 12 for bench which felt a little better on my elbow, and I guess I'll stick with that until it feels all better.

Just gonna do 20-30 min of light cardio today for some active recovery and enjoy a few beers with my friends later.

That fucking elbow pain is a bitch:mad:. How's the leg???

Yeah it blows, I've been dealing with it on/off for years now. I've actually been having at least slight elbow issues in this left elbow even since I was a little kid, just from throwing baseballs and footballs. Very strange.

The leg is doing pretty good, thanks for asking! Haven't felt any pain or irritation there in over a week so I'm feeling good about it.

Haven't been in here in a minute and looks like I missed a pic! I'm excited for rugby season to start for you. You're going to be running through ppl at will. Nice squatting

You'll get it!!!

That's my current goal. 545 is as big as I can go currently

I'm pretty confident about it, especially if I eat like a king today like I plan to. Honestly I think I'd have a good chance at 600 even, but I don't want to get ahead of myself. Assuming I get the 585, that would be over 100 pounds added to my deadlift in 15 weeks. I'll take that.

Well guys, it seems I overestimated my deadlift 1RM a little bit. I warmed up doing 225x5, 315x1, 405x1, 495x1, and then went for the 585. I got it off the ground but it was just too slow. I made it up to my knees and couldn't lock it out. Looks like my back is still the weak link there, but it always has been so nothing new there. If I had to make an honest estimate of my 1rm now, based on the 585 fail, I'd say I could have pulled 565. No where near the almost 600 I predicted yesterday lol. Oh well, I'll just have to make 650 my goal now for my second cycle in the fall/winter.

Here's the whole workout:

Power cleans: 205x1x4
Press: 200x4,4,4,4,5
Paused parallel squats: 225x3x3
Deadlift: 585 fail; 495x1x8 in 8 min
Paused incline bench: 225x10,9
Chins: 277x5x4

I'll be honest with you guys, I'm scared to come off lol. I don't want this to end :(

I remember reading before I started this that guys usually see their gains slow/stall around 10 weeks into this standard 500 mg test per week first cycle, and saying to myself fuck that. No way was I gonna let my progress slow down at 10 weeks even though I knew I was gonna do a long 15 weeks, and I stuck to that and I can honestly say that I'm still making amazing gains even at the 15 week mark here, and I'm really happy with myself for that.

I think that this is going to have been my last real workout on this cycle.. Cause I start rugby practice on Wednesday and we're doing 2-a-days, and we have a scrimmage on Saturday, so there's no way I'll be lifting heavy for the rest of this week. I'm gonna need all the rest I can get for this coming week of rugby to be as fresh as I can on Saturday.

I'll try to get time tomorrow to write up a summary/conclusion and final thoughts of this cycle log. If not then definitely Tuesday.

No big deal ya didn't get it Ruck...ya still added almost 100lbs to your deads. Six practices and then a scrimmage...yeah, ya better get your rest.

I got in another workout on Tuesday but I won't bother logging it. It was only upper body cause I started practice Wednesday and needed my legs to be fresh.

So overall I couldn't be much happier with how this cycle went. Ended up lasting 15 weeks like I planned. I haven't tested all my new maxes but based on honest estimates I ended up adding about 60 pounds to my bench, 70 to my squat, 90 to my deadlift, 30 to my strict press, and 40 to my power clean. I gained 30 pounds (including water weight) and don't seem to have put on any noticable amount of fat. After this water comes off I might even have lost some fat, I guess I'll have to wait a few days or weeks to see for sure though.

Showed up to rugby yesterday and I'd be lying if I didn't admit I got a ton of compliments from my teammates on how massive they say I look. Everyone keeps saying how excited they are to see me take the ball into contact lol.

Oh and I also improved my fitness a ton too, so who knows how much more size and strength I could have added if I didn't need to do so much conditioning work.

So anyone reading who's planning their first cycle and wants to start throwing in a bunch of different compounds and crazy doses from the get-go, please let my experience be an example of what amazing progress you can make just from 500 mg test per week.

Thanks so much everyone for following and I hope to see you all on my test/eq cycle log in a few months!
