NPC/IFBB add a new division

Priddy awesome. I don't fit into my class. Im 40 pounds heavier, at single number BF% Id still be 25-30 pounds too heavy. Damn. I am a fan of the golden era "classic" look more than the others. Im looking at doing my first show in 2016, looks like BB division for me.

Also looking at next year for my first show. Gl and keep us posted on your progess.

A continuation of strategy of creating more and more divisions and collecting more and more registration/entry fees. It's been a great way to keep increasing revenue for non-profit NPC. But how many more divisions can they add? How many more pro cards can they award?
For sure... But I think this is a worthwhile add nonetheless. A lot of fans of the classic physiques out there.

Damn looks like I'm a tad bit overweight for the 54 class lol:(Damn me an my fat ass:D:p

yea this is a sick division..ill be doing physique until this officially launches. im a little thicker than ideal but have big chest/delts so classic physique is prob the most desirable look IMO. jacked, lean and a bit thicker.

I'm a tad confused so I'm 5'9 I'll need to be below 192? I mean physique guys my height seem about that or a tad bigger so how is this division bigger than in weight? or are they going to dial physique down a little.

Just want to make sure I understand this better because it would be awesome to have a classic look without board shorts.

shit fuck physique..im doing this division..i just need to figure out my actual height lol prob been lying to myself and others all these years..im going with 6-2

Do you not consider physique class to be bodybuilders?
I've always called the top class, either heavyweight or open class.

Absolutely, but the judging criteria is so much different. That's why I'm excited about this new class. I have very wide shoulders, thicker back and larger pecs... Just a little too big for physique from what I've been told.

I checked out info on this a while back.It seemed you would really have to be ripped with low bf to fit the specs.Im 6"4 and I think I would have to come in around 220lbs.I would have to loose muscle and have muscle in all the right spots for that illusion being im 285lbs..im too big.I would like to try a division like this though as im done with wanting to do bodybuilding divisions as I just feel these days too much money and risk is involved to be successful.I may be wrong but it was somewhere around that margin for me.Than again the posing routines and judging would be different than mens physique and no board shorts.Posing trunks not bikini style but more like larry scott style era posing trunks.

These are some good points. Even with that said, if I were to compete, this division would draw me in. But like this video states, they should just fix bodybuilding to begin with. But then again I'm a powerlifter, and I don't have a skinny waist, even at a low bodyfat.

You're right. I wish they would bring these changes to the mens open bodybuilding divison, but would be a massive overhaul. Also, as @Millard Baker stated earlier, it will generate more revenue to have more divisons in these leagues.

It's funny because for my height the max weight is 185. When I was in my early twenties and was into bodybuilding, I finally came to the realization I couldn't get huge without steroids, so I made a goal to compete at 185 and shredded of course. Now I realize even that would require steroids, but I'm willing to do it now, I just would have never wanted to get as huge as the top bodybuilders, and the physique class that came out never interested me, board shorts, wtf.

Anyways, might have to compete now.
