Yeah, massive amounts of food get rough when you're sick.

Yeah I usually go for AMRAP on the last set for each exercise (except cleans obviously), while still keeping good form and avoiding slow grinders. Seems to work well and helps me gauge what I should do for that lift next time.Do you rep out the last sets of an exercise? I really like that approach. I find I can't be honest with RPE or just don't judge it well yet and that way if I get a few extra on the last set I'll know I was in the 7-8 range.
You ever work in weighted chin ups? I find they help tremendously with my bodyweight chin ups.

I've done weighted chins very briefly here and there when I've been light enough to warrant adding extra weight, but that doesn't end up being the case very often. Once I'm able to do 10-12+ bw chins I'll start doing some weighted ones.
Same, I just kinda go with my gut on the weight increases. Whatever I feel like I'll be able to do.I was reading somewhere that someone made some type of formula for the AMRAP and weight increases. I just kind of wing it though, 2-3 reps is +5, 4-5 is +10 type of thing. Not exactly that, but you know what I mean if you do it, too.
Yeah, some recommend being able to do like 15 before adding weight, but I don't think they were accounting for guys my size or your size. I think I started adding weight this time when I could do 5x10. I started doing 5x7 with like 25lbs. No real reason on the sets of 7, just sounded right.
Thanks brother, glad to have you following along.Cant believe i only now found this log, read it all last night and now im along for the ride.
Everything's looking good ruckin[emoji106]
Yum that sounds great. The ones I had were pretty good, easpecially this cheesesteak pizza they had. I'd definitely go back for a whole pie of that. How was that gourmet pizza the other day? I had one last night, grilled chicken, caramelized onions and artichoke hearts on flatbread with mozzarella and Alfredo sauce.
It's probably worth mentioning that I haven't experienced any sides yet. Even when I was on the dbol I didn't notice any negative sides.
Just wanted to put that out there.
Haha yeah I've been very fortunate. What a lucky guy eh
Sounds good, thanks for the recommendation. I'll stick to 4x5 for a while then. And thank you for the compliment! My press is definitely my best lift, which is odd because my delts aren't very impressive looking.I agree 5x5 is too much for now. I'd try to make gains on as low of volume as possible for as long as possible. Think about adding volume later down the road. Mirin' press, by the way.
