What R U Eating ? ~OGH wants to know.....

I bought a Costco membership cuz everyone always talks about it. I went once and my wife called corporate and got our refund back. Thank you very much. Prices are way too high especially compared to sams
The quality of the meat at Costco cannot be beat, IMO. I'm not sure if it varies by the region or not... My Costco is awesome! Sorry about your experience, glad they were cool and refunded it.

Are you serious? Costco is cheap for what you get. I don't buy their steaks though. Those are pricey as hell. Just the cost of their egg whites saves you enough to justify the cost of membership. I'm set up to where they actually pay me. Yep after I hit 700.00 they started paying me.

Nah store was nice. Products are nice. Can't justify spending $50 more for the same cart full. We were shocked. Like wtf. I spend 70-100 EW at sams. That gets me
*12-14 lb chicken breast
*family sized 90/10 hamburger
*family size pork chops
* 3-4 lb deli meat
*Greek yogurt
*peanut butter
*fresh fish of some sort
* bagels

Dont think I missed anything.

Yep, we get a "refund" every year too. I like it. Hoping they bring in a Visa credit card this year, as they promised. It's right next to our house too, just makes sense. Gas is cheap, too.

Ya I hear ya. With the upgraded sams card. Can't remember what they call it...I get a free turkey every year at Thanksgiving. The one this year was real good size too. I can't say how much money I get back regularly. But by the time oct/Nov rolls around we always hit our mark and I had about $112 in free groceries right on time for christmas. So the plans are pretty similar.

True, I can see how they both have advantages.

I know it sounds stupid, but I like the employees a lot more at Costco, they're so friendly and knowledgeable. The butcher there will break down steaks for me at no extra charge, it's solid. That alone saves me a grand a year...

Costco seems for the more upscale and you pay for it!
If I had more $$$ to burn I would likely prefer costco. They have a crazy seafood selection!

Idk about costco but I get early shoppers priveledges at sams. Does costco do that? Store opens up at 0900 for everybody else. For me 0700:cool:
What does that mean? No crowds, no retards no fuckin around. In n out first dibs on everything. I can't stand shopping and I can't stand being around other people when shopping. Everything about it makes me want to powerbomb people thru the fresh fruit isle. Oh you want to stop and hold up the entire isle to thoroughly read the ingredients? Cool take this poke in the eye

yes..ours does.. and I switched from sams to Costco many years ago and it was a saving not to mention all meats were better quality and far better packaging. I get a few hundred dollars a year in a check as well as other perks my wife uses. Costco 100% for me

The meat is the big difference in my experience

agreed... At sams several times I got boneless skinless chicken thighs that were rancid same day of purchase and days before exp date same thing as pork and lamb. this happened to me many many times in the years I went to sams..I do purchase a lot of meat and I expect it to be edible.. Its been 7 or more years at costcos and never had anything bad

Forgive me but I don't have the time to go back and see who posted an old family pork chop and cream of whatever in the crocpot.

It sounded delicious and I meant to bookmark.

Thanks

Cream of potato, ranch packet, pork chops and crock pot and you're golden. Pretty sure Trukk said his wife made something similar

Or just the general idea....
1 can coconut milk
1 can tomatoe sauce
1lb chicken breast diced up.
3 tbl curry powder
Salt and Pepper to taste
1 white onion sliced thin
2 tbl white sugar
1 tbl mined garlic.

Let that bad boy cook in the crock pot for 10 hours. Hour 9 thrown in a whole bag of frozen carrots and peas. Along with 1 whole sweet potatoe (diced of course )
