How much do you guys INCLINE dumbbell bench?

I won't go heavy on dumbbell presses unless I have someone to hand me them. It's getting them into position that can be dangerous for shoulders and burning out then trying not to drop them on yourself on the way down. I'm a bodybuilder though and I rarely go extremely heavy. Perfect form, good contraction, mind muscle connection. The trifecta in my opinion.

I usually go fairly light on dumbbells. I try to really focus on achieving a slow and controlled stretch on the way down (2-3 seconds) and a hard contraction on the way up. Sometimes I will hold down at the bottom for a split second to really feel the stretch. The pump off of those are insane. Very seldom do I go over 100 pound dumbbells. Worth giving a try.
I did do the db press last night as you described and with a hold ar the bottom. Wow yes the pump is truly insane. Started with 45lbs then progressed up to 75 lbs. Wow shoulders and chest on fire!

I'll add.. I do incline (not much a flat or decline)100lb 4set of 6-8 rep.. slow and control on the way down-with a 1 second pause at the bottom, then I explode up- focus on the squeeze near the top. I then move to db flys with 60lb again 4 sets of 6-8reps--applying the same as above steps- sometime superset with 10-20 pushups...To me, it's all about the control and squeeze.. I don't give a flying fuck how much you press (seen many young blood doing 110-120lb no full range, spotter stabilizing his arms, doing 2-3 reps-then throwing down the weights like a boss..lol!).. anyone could move weight! But are you working THAT chest muscles!

You know those little pink and blue rubber coated dumbbells? They're like 5 and 10 pounds each and I can pop out like 20+ reps with those. Pumps are amazing and I've even dropped one and was able to catch it on the rebound and continue the set. That takes focus

And for reps bud O M G. You've taken it to the next level dude. Next thing we know, you'll be squatting with a towel on your neck. For reps. Lol. D

If I did, would I include the weight of the towel as part of it? My traps make squatting without a cushion doable but I get these red abrasions on em that stick around for days. My gf was like "what the hell happened to your back!" The first few times we were together. Now she gets it. She actually accused me of being with another chick who clawed my upper back. I got mad. Girls are dumb

You don't squat with a towel on your neck o_O

If I feel extra feminim in the gym, I use a menstruation pad from the wife on the neck. It has a handy self-adhesive sticker to prevent it from sliding. I tried using a tampon, but the string kept on getting entangled with my headset ...

I need to go get a deep tissue massage. I can right now tell that i can do more reps and go heavier but my shoulder is like a giant screaming fuck you. I use anti-inflammatory and use rumble roller left and right.

The rumble roller is a godsend after a solid workout. Sucks when shoulder issues take the joy out of a great workout.

Oh dude they are amazing. Idk why people use a normal roller. I have the small round green one too.

Both my labrum are torn and I'm pretty sure they happen before i even started lifting but lifting made it worst.

And wrestling fucks your shit up. You take all the knots out of your back, train, and all of them hoes are back

Yup, I have a shoulder impingement that resulted from breaking my left clavicle when I was a little kid. Did stupid dangerous stuff then lol, now regretting it.

Rumble roller even helped with knee rehab as well. Gotta love it.

Just did them. From 35lbs i went up 10lbs at a time for 10 reps...either short to no breaks, i got 100s, then did 105x10, and then 110x10 but shoulder was like... Hey I'm about to give out of nowhere if you keeo going up. So i just stopped right there :/

Fuck these big round shoulders

Db inclines are def where it's at. Better range of motion, stretch...better contraction...more muscle fibers involved...stabilizers...plus you're not locked into one position like you are with a barbell.

2 out of 3 chest workouts start with db inclines.... Sometimes lighter weights with more slow and controlled reps, sometimes heavy sets 6-8 reps with 130's.

Im agree with everything this guy said. I only do barbell incline or flat when all the other benches are occupied.
I did chest yesterday, got the 120s for two sets of 8.
