Still benched 405 with it didn't seem to hurt but the mark keeps looking worse and worseOuch! Hope it's just bruising bro, it would suck to have to take time off due to a tear. I know they take a while to heal
I have had a bruised pec three times in my lifting career..kinda like yours...I never had more then just a bad sprain and some bruising ..within a 2 weeks I was right back at it with no strength loss or pain.. from what you explained you were prob lucky like me and never got a real tearView attachment 36561

The weirrd thing is is I always do controlled reps on bench with about 4-5 second negativesnegativesI dropped the bar (loaded with 275lbs) on my chest one time and got a bruise similar to yours. Pec was just sore for a few days.
