Ruckin's dbol/test/eq log

3/8/16:

Power clean: 245x1x6
Push press: 250x5,5,5,7
Paused parallel Squat: 405x5x3
Bench: 300x8x3
Chin ups: 270x5,5,5,5,7
Bb shrugs: 265x15x3 (1 min rest); 265x25 w straps
Face pulls: 190x20,6,3 (rp)

Did a couple 1 minute sets balancing on a bosu ball too.


I was really happy with my push press. I wasn't expecting to get more than 5 on my last set but was able to push out 7 good reps.

So I was planning to do 4x6 with 405 on the paused squats, but they were a little harder than I anticipated so I was just able to get 3x5. I could have just lowered the weight but I was dead set on finally using 4 plates
so I stuck with it lol. I filmed the squats but I wasn't able to get a video on any of the 3 sets where you can't see my face at least a little bit so I'm not uploading them. Here's a screenshot of the video during one of my pauses to see how my depth was. This was during my last set of 405x5.

I was supposed to lift today but I wasn't able to get much sleep last night, and pushing it back to tomorrow won't interfere with my schedule at all so I'll be lifting tomorrow. Going for 510x5 on the deadlift.

Instead, today I just did 20 min of light cardio and some stuff for my shin splints. I did 3 sets of 1 min balancing on a bosu ball and 3 light sets of 30 on a calf raise machine just to get more blood flowing through that area.

@Perrin Aybara for the bosu ball thing do you stand on the soft ball side of it or the flat side? I've been doing it standing on the soft ball side.

Maybe a little bit. I've been making a conscious effort to not do anything that aggravates it though, so I don't have any pain to gauge the pain from last week against (I hope that made sense). I'm thinking I'll just completely avoid anything that causes even some irritation for a couple months while doing this rehab type stuff, and try squatting atg again then to see how it feels.

Yeah, it's really hard to gauge the effectiveness of these recovery things. It was worth a shot anyway.

You ever run any peptides? I'm about to try some out for my knee. Also, are you going to max at the end of this cycle? Should be at or beyond the 4/5/6 plates thing by then.

I'd love to try peptides, if not gh, but I can't really afford them right now. Maybe in the near future though. MGF is one that really interests me.

I generally prefer to get a good estimate of my maxes instead of actually testing them, just for injury prevention reasons (that squat comp being an exception obviously) but I'll consider testing them at the end. I'm sure I'll be comfortably past the 4/5/6 milestone by then. I know I have the squat and deadlift already, and based on my 300x8x3 bench the other day, I'd say I'm only a few pounds away from that one too.

Edit: a 315 push press is another big goal for me by the end of this too. That one will be close.

I knew if I went for that deadlift rep pr I would've missed so I just called it a night after the incline bench (which is one thing that did go well). I'll do deads and my assistance stuff tomorrow, and then I'll be off to enjoy myself for a week with no lifting. This break seems to be great timing cause I feel like I am starting to need a short deload anyway after 2 mediocre workouts this week.

Hopefully you aren't considering a 255 push press mediocre :oops: I can't even put two dishes on for a push press let alone 2 dishes a dime and nickel each side (training out a new way of saying plates :p) also congratz on the working weight of 405 on the squat. No issues with the shin splints with parrellel?

Ha thank you. I guess the push press was a pr weight for me but I was expecting 6 on the last set. Little shit like that bothers me lol

Nope, going to parallel doesn't bother my shin splints. I'm hoping for a 2 month recovery time but we'll see how that ends up.

The deadlift rep PR should come easy tomorrow with no squats first.
yeah I hope so. I'm worried that this run-down kinda feeling I have today will carry into tomorrow, but even if it does it's no big deal. The week off will fix that no problem.

On a side note, my whole core area is pretty sore today from the paused squats. I forgot how much harder it is on my core do do those paused reps.

So I've been thinking more about my next blast, and I'm thinking I might try to lower the tren dose a little and run it for 8 week instead of 6. I have enough to do 70 mg eod for 8 weeks instead of 100 eod for 6 weeks, and 6 weeks sounds too short to run a cycle to me. I'm a fan of using lower doses to make good progress if possible anyway. So now it looks like this:

wks 1-8 test c 200 mg/wk
wks 1-8 tren a 70 mg eod
wks 1-3 dbol 20 mg ed
maybe throw in some eq just to make it a better overall blast??? something like 500 mg/wk? Maybe I'll make it a 16-20 weeker if I do this and just run tren for the first 8 weeks. Not sure about this idea yet but I definitely want to stick to the 8 weeks of tren at the lower dose instead of 6.

Thoughts/input are greatly appreciated as always!

lol. Yeah it's been getting bad the last couple weeks. I'm hungry all the time even if I just stuffed myself a couple hours ago.

About the tren, I'm planning to cut some fat after this cycle is over, so my thinking is that I'll lose some fat just with diet and cardio alone during my cruise (and probably some clen since I have some already), and then I'll finish off the cut with tren as I'm starting the next cycle. After I'm done with the tren the eq will be kicking in hard and I'll start bulking again. That's my thought process right now anyway.

Will you have enough time to do another blast before the season starts?
i'm actually not exactly sure where I'll be playing next yet, so i might just take an extra long offseason to keep getting bigger and stronger in the mean time to better physically prepare myself to play at the elite level.

Also I just noticed you said 70mg EOD of tren not 80mg. Do you have an extra vial if you need it??
