T3 (for my girlfriend) help

Hey, guys, happy monday.

Basically, my girlfriend is getting fat, its distressing her, and she is desperate to lose some weight but is too lazy/intimidated to reduce her calorie intake or exercise (adequately).

I know, I know-wants to lose weight, doesn't want to excercize, it's crazy.

In the last few months, she's put on between 30 and 50 pounds. She's eating as much as she has always eaten, but it's like her metabolism ground to a halt. I told her, "Listen, Sally (fake name), I will support you and help you get whatever you decide to take, but due to the personal risks you will be undertaking by taking a weight-loss aid, you have to decide what you want to take."

She came up with about five bullshit proprietary blend supplements, garcinia cambosia, and some other bull-shit, snake-oil, prey-on-fat-women products. I was like, "Uh, no, I'll look into it."

Now the point. How severe are the acute side-effects (i.e. trembling, tachycardia, sweating)? What sort of results should she expect? and, last but not least, does anyone know of any research chemical suppliers that sell a decent product (you can pm me if you want)?

I'm not asking for your top sources or anything, it's just that the place I usually buy from over-seas has a 25$ shipping fee, and I literally need nothing else other than like 50$ of t3 from them? Seeing as a product I'm going to stock up on goes on sale in a few weeks, I want to wait and order it all at the same time to minimize shipping.

Thanks in advance!

Do you have insurance? My mom had some thiroid test done (not sure what all test they did on her) and she got a scrip for it quick. Her doc also put her on a low dose test cream. She cut 20lbs quick but she works put daily and sticks to paleo dieting. Sorry to say i dont think your girl is going to see much in the way of results unless she gets dedicated to diet and excersise. Other than that do your homework on hear and use the search button.

Yeah, she doesn't know how to use google, doesn't have insurance.

She is the type of girl that never needed to diet and excercise until now. She just turned 30, and her metabolism took a turn for the worst. I wish she had the means to get tests done before this happened, and some tests done now, just to find out what's going on. But as of now, the best we can do is speculate.

She claims that she is overwhelmed by the weight-gain, and due to the rapid nature of it I don't really blame her. I wouldn't quite feel right giving her a sugar pill, but-as for as giving her T3 goes-I feel that once she has a "diet pill" she might be more motivated to work out, and once she sees weight being lost it might reinforce her.

Right now, she has no faith in herself.

she really needs to see a doctor if the weight gain is rapid. putting her on t3 is a waste of time, and could hurt her

The adverse effects seem acceptable. She doesn't want to do any huge doses, something between 25-75 micros. Start at 12.5, taper up pending on side effects

If its a waist of time, why do people use it? (Im not being sarcastic here, any insight is appreciated).

She won't see a doctor, she can't afford it. She has no issues other than weight gain that would suggest anything is wrong. It just seems that her metabolism is slowing down and her body is using less calories than it did a year ago.

Also, she is taking propranolol, which can result in weight gain.

How is she taking propranolol with a doctors supervision? If she is seeing a GP she could talk to him about the weight gain.

Is she really eating less than she did a year ago? T3 is used by bodybuilders but those are healthy young men. If there is an underlying health issue T3 can be dangerous.

You might want to have her doctor ask about topiramate or orlistat. T3 will not work without diet and exercise. T3 can also cause hunger.

Honestly, she might be eating more. But not by much.

She goes to a free mental health clinic, and they prescribed propranolol for blushing and nervousness. 40mg ED.

The weight gain started before she got prescribed that, but got worst as she got prescribed and upped the dose.

The more I'm reading about t3 and beta-receptor mediated lipolysis (fat loss), the more I realize that propranolol could be exacerbating her naturally declining metabolism.

Also, there is some evidence propranolol prevents the conversion of t4 to t3.

Thanks for the warnings all yall; it made me read alot more into the adverse effects and dosages.

Orlistat seems like a decent idea, too.

It is kinda rare to take that much weight while eating the same , since she does not count her calories or anything she might have eat too much without noticing or stopped any activities she were doing ? Anyway if she does not want to exercices or watch her diet there is no much you can do for her... To me t3 is a really bad idea mainly on those dosage , it will supress her natural production and she will end up with a screwed up metabolism and become fatter than now and probably even more depressed from the lack of energy of inexistant/low t3 lvl , You should make her try eca stack which could boost her up to exercice and btw supress her apetite a little bit would be a good and safe start. If you really wanna use t3 i would tell you to stick to a 12.5mcg so her natural production would not be diminued and it would give her a decent metabolic boost , she can stay a while on it but she going to have to get out of t3 supplement soon or late and there will be the same problem... she really have to start taking care of herself anyway or they is no way she can be inshape , it is just going to get worst and worst as she get older... Btw the low dose t3 stack well with the clen or ECA if she can handle the sides... hope that i helped you
