Washing your hands at the gym.

The worst offenders are people who still go to the gym with the sniffles because they don't want to miss a workout. If you are sick stay the hell out of the gym!!!

Fuck that dude, i was sick like all last week and i went every day, if you think im just gonna sit at home and lose my gains to save people from a couple germs you got life FUCKED UP lol.

This is exactly why i wear gloves at the gym. I know they dont prevent anything but it eases my mind knowing something is between my hands and the dumbell the guy before me just used. And i dont use the benches for changing, i see old dudes get done working out and get 100% naked and sit there nasty ass straight on the wooden bench. People are gross and dont mind spreading their germs around, i minimize contact if at all possible.

I wash my hands before, during, after and use hand sanitizer as an extra precaution at the gym. I have seen one too many females both old and young come out of the bathroom stall and pass up the sink to wash their hands. So disgusting, lazy and inconsiderate.:confused:

This has nothing to do with the gym, but a couple of weeks ago I was getting my coffee in the morning and I watch this guy walk up and lick his fucking fingers before he grabbed one of the stirring straws. The straws that me and other people use to stir our coffee was now contaminated with this guys saliva.

I looked at the guy in disgust for a second and said "Sir, do you mind not licking your fingers before you touch a straw that might end up in my coffee. That's fucking disgusting." and walked away to pay for my stuff. The guy looked at me like I was nuts and maybe I am, but I felt it was something that needed to be said. Some people are inconsiderate slobs.

I feel like you could've gotten the staff to get new straws. I think the whole thing with sneeze guards is, that even if someone does sneeze on the food, like around the sneeze Guard, the staff still has to replace it.

I wear gloves just because the idea of other people's sweaty hands and dry sweat on the equipment, I wipe down every bench and machine I use before and after I'm done because that's what I'd want others to do. So, yeah I'm a bit germ conscious but with both parents in the medical industry, it's no wonder. My step dad used to make my brother and I wear those hospital masks in public when we were sick. Embarrassing when your just a kid but I learned a lot from that man so I can't hold a grudge

Like lifting gloves, latex gloves, or work gloves? Because there is one guy who comes to my gym, he's an older man (40's), and when he lifts he lifts with work gloves. The same gloves you'd wear for like lawn work. I almost want to tell him he can buy lifting gloves.... or not wear anything

I always wash before pissing I'm a mechanic nobody wants a greasy dick. I think the black on your hands after lifting actually comes from the iron in the metal.

In a hurry to piss one day I neglected washing my hands I'd been working and had greasy hands latter on i ran into a lady friend. One thing led to another and whipped out my little friend ;) she then asks how hard I'd been fucking other bitches to bruise my dick that bad.lolo_O

Did you at least wash your hands before touching stuff??

Well yeah, the first thing i do when i get to the gym is poop, because i sont want to have to poop mid workout because it absolutely kills the momentum.of the workout, and of course i always wash my hands after using the restroom so yeah.

I workout at a college gym. Last year I seen some kids in the weight room with cotton swabs whiping the benches dubells, walls, barbells and dip station. I asked the kid what they were doing and he said they were taking the samples to the college lab for a bacteria study to see how dirty the weight room was. I have the kid my email and asked if he could hook me up with the results. I don't have the email anymore but they found fecal and staph on EVERYTHING, including the light switch and paper towel dispenser. The most dense bacteria colonies were found in the end of the bench in the bench press where your ass would be.

Lesson: wash your self AND gym cloths after every session.

Scary truth right there

Makes good reason why it's a good thing to wipe equipment down when done. My gym has sanitizer spray and towel stations all over the place with 2 of them in the weight room alone!

I keep some hand sanitizer in my bag as well. As for gym clothes I wash them often with extra detergent.

I wonder what is actually in the sanitizing bottles. I belive what my gym has is a type of peroxide blend. But most disinfectant peroxides deconstitute into waterms upon application. In the back of ambulances were required to use a spray that destroys DNA. Long term exposure to it can actually cause cancer.

I believe my gym has ammonia and water in those spray bottles. Strong smelling as fuck though.

It's usually the super safe germophobe that gets sick and the slob doesnt.lol maybe yall should start licking the bench to build up your immune system. Their's two in my gym that actually wear medical gloves.
