Just wanted to say hi and what a great site this is. Lots of very good information. Been lifting for a while seem to have hit a wall and looking to up my game. Was in contact with a site and ready to order when I came across this site and realized there is a lot more I need to learn before I jump in. So I'm gonna be doing a lot more reading and learning. Just wanted to say thanks for all the good info on here.

Thanks for the welcome you got it I'm a huge Slayer fan followed them since the 80's. Not a devil worshiper Lol.

How about some stats and goals brother?
I'm 43 5'7 weight 171 from what I can gather about 20% body fat. Been lifting for about a year, before that I did diet and cardio only to lose weight I went from 220 to 148. Did that for three years. Then I put on about 20 pounds and couldn't seem to lose it no matter what so I got tired of having no muscle so I decided to lift.
I've made a few gains in my arms and legs but chest and stomach seem to be going no where. I know it takes time but I'm getting older and don't really wanna wait another 10 years to get where I'm going. I don't want to be huge but have a good physic to show at the beach if that makes since.

Congrats on the weight loss 70lbs is a lot to lose. The gut and chest are definitely the hardest part. It just takes time. Lol Consistency is the most important, along with diet and training....little bit of test also works pretty damn good. Try to get blood work done and go from there. I will get blood work before I do anything just got done reading the forum on how to get it done. Will have to travel a ways though. But I'm gonna stick to my routine till I understand everything a little better.
