Bench Press

Yeah, I wake up laying on my side with my arm out in front of me or over my head and undery pillow a lot. It hurts enough to wake me up. Thanks for that floor stretch, I'll try it out!

Update

Almost got 405 this evening. I think it'll be very soon for the incline goal...lol. The DB was sets were less than stellar....110 was all I could muster after the bb incline. Oh well

Is that 405 on incline bench ? If so, nice job taking it on. If your attempting it then it must not be too far off in your future buddy, you will get it.

I broke a PR and hit 405 on flat bench a few weeks ago. Been cruising on low dose (250mg) and still making progress. I dont go over 315 on incline, just being a baby i guess.

Congrats on the PR, and incline's the best bench really but for me I can't go over 225 due to shoulder impingement issues :(

Yes, the attempt was on the incline. It felt like a go the whole time. Came down nice and slow, went back up nice a slow (like usual), then just stopped..lol. I guess I didn't get enough rest between sets.

After the PR attempt I wanted to see how many times I could press 135 lb.
1st set was 50 reps
2nd set 35 reps
3rd set 35 reps

A former meso member claimed to do 105 reps on the flat bench a while ago. I'm trying to see if I can match that:D

I remember the 105 reps claim.

Sometimes you just cant get that last little bit to go up anymore, been there brotha. You will hit it tho ;)
 
Ive hit 475 clean for flat bench. Natty I never did max lift but was doing 315 for 6sets of 10. Felt good but what made me happier was being able to rep 225 for 53 reps off cycle. Then I tore my shoulder out playing football. Been a long road but hoping to get back to those numbers within this year one way or the other
 
6 months ago injured my rotator hitting 405 for 3. Been trying hard to get it back but everytime I go heavy I fuck myself for a couple weeks. Wish I could go back and only do 2 reps. The dude I was lifting with was one of those motivational spotters. Kept yelling you got it. Fuck, I was driving the bar all left and right till it went up but I'm paying big in the long run...

I always wondered how football players trained for the bench press at the combine. Do they always just lift 225 and go for max reps or is there something else to it?

Check out the vids on YouTube where they take athletes vs. Bodybuilders. They do the 225 thing on some and dips and squats etc. The bodybuilders always win and the athletes are the ones that train to do the high rep stuff.
