Bench Press

Haha for someone my size and compared to you monsters I got some weak numbers. It's funny cus I would assume most people would probably think I'm stronger than I am.
Squat - 240x5 so I'm guessing maybe 295-315 for 1?
Bench - 225x5 and 265x1
Deadline - 325x3 and 365x1

Do you ever setup for the incline and just fantasize about how hard and high you could launch 1 all out rep at 315?

I was thinking that on sunday. I worked myself up to a hysterical rage as i gripping the bar and grunting and preparing for an all out assault.
I was like....i wonder if i just launched it how far it would go:eek:
 
I think my workouts are brutal sorta speak..example

Chest:
Incline bench
Incline dumbbell
Cables

Legs
Front squats
Leg press
Extension

Back
Wide pull ups
Close pull ups
Bentover rows

Exercises are all 4-5 sets, 6-10 reps (working by myself)

Workout partners try to push for 20-30 reps. Makes for a long damn day at the gym...lmao:confused::eek:

Shoulders & arms are worst
 
Legs are key. Its fact that stringer legs make for stronger lifts all around. Never skip leg day. And Im saying this from experience. Lifting 5plates raw bench is proof of that

405 for 1 (spotter touch the bar, but fuck it) I'm counting it:rolleyes:

Did back, but no legs. Didn't have time to wait. I'll make it up though.

What yall think the equivalent of 405 Incline to flat bench? Just curious of what you guys think. 475o_O...maybe.

haha anyone ever been dumb enough to not use a spotter and get stuck... I have. couple times, either have to dump the weights and everyone hears them crash, see the dummy, or gotta set it on chest and roll it down your stomach

btw, that's 230 in plates, that's all I can fit on my chincy at home set, I count the bar as zero, I prefer to undervalue rather than overvalue, irritates me working out with guys that say they can, then can't doshit

Flat bench is different than incline so I think there would be nothing in similarities for lift strength. Upper chest is bigger but flat bench incorporates more muscles so I think flat will always be a bigger lift. Thats just my opinion tho

Man I feel so weak seeing the last couple posters numbers. Im currently doing a hypertrophy complex right now. Today was chest day. these were my numbers. Chest was destroyed after so its a win even with low weight

incline db press 20/18/16/14 x 30 tempo 2.2.1
incline bench flies 20/18/16 x 30 tempo 2.0.1
close grip bench press 20/18/16/14 x 135 tempo 2.2.1

I know this is the wrong attitude, I don't think it's happening, I feel confident I can get to 300x10 and step it down from there, not up, beyond that...gear

Well that is the point of gear. To surpass ones natural limitations. Thats one of the only reasons why people should take any type of aas. Once you have plateaued naturally what can you do if you want to get bigger, stronger, faster? GEAR!!!

Are you saying you're 17? Or close to it?
 
no, that's how much I squat when I was 17. lifetime ago. I don't squat near that now because the plates,rod,and pins in my legs. still strong legs, but I think my knees would explode under the weight.

today is my b-day 33
 
rep 230 is now bench, don't do squat much, legs make a lot of crackling just walking, did mile in kickboxing class couple yrs. ago 7min. mile, I'm ok with that
