ok apparently I'm going to have to break this down...if you cut and don't have ab muscle you're still not going to have good visible abs. The idea is to bulk aka add muscle to abs first. Then cut, so you actually have muscle to see. Does this make sense?

You're not going to 'lose all of your size while trying to get lean"...I don't know where you're getting that...especially if you're on cycle...

Problem is you cannot spot check fat brother. You will never have abs unless you're lean and you're going to lose most if not all of your size trying get lean after bulking. Believe me I did it the wrong way too.

It's spot reduce, not spot check. And he isn't talking about reducing body fat in one specific area. He said he wanted to add muscle mass before doing his cut.

And OP a little off topic, I can't tell if you have a wide waist or if it's just love handles from those pics but if you start training obliques directly it'll make your mid section a lot tighter when you get under 15%. So many dudes who are lean and train hard but look like shit because they don't know how to be proportionate and aesthetic. Honestly rather be a skinny dyel cunt than look like this. Don't become one of them.

@Americanada Thanks brah, I think it's a little bit of both. For obliques I mainly do decline twists (maybe russian twists with a medicine ball). Definitely something I need to hit them a lot harder though. No doubt I have love handles too, my bodyfat is relatively high. I seriously appreciate the feedback, kind of something I was overlooking
