There isnt much the Amish dont do better than the rest. Anyone who lives in NY, OH or PA can vouch for that. Got an amish made table at home. Im confident the thing would survive a nuclear fallout
We replaced every window in our vacation home with windows from the Amish. The craftsmanship is like no other. The day before I leave to come back home, I go buy all my meat, dairy, pork, poultry etc.. and bring it back with me. We have cut down Oak and Maple trees and had the Amish turn the wood in to window trim, hard wood flooring, etc...

I bought a 5th wheel trailer up in Alaska , all Amish built . Quality hardwoods all thru-out , everyone wants my 5th wheel...

Our "neighbors" and I use that term lightly, are Amish. There about 5 miles away from us. They have their own saw mill, and yes, it's all hand tools, no electricity. We have some Mennonites around as well. The Amish have their own Bakery and OMG the Pecan Pie.... Lets just say it should be illegal. We give them Apples from our Orchard to make Apple Pies and Apple Dumplings. For every Pie they make us, they get to keep enough Apples to make one to sell. Even trade in my book.

Next time I go to my vacation house I'm going to get some pictures of their butcher shop and their farm. Pretty interesting. I like how I can see their beef eating grass accross the road from where they butcher and sell it.
