A few other boards have sections for new and used fitness equipment for sale. I personally never buy anything brand new as I'm a cheap bastard. eBay is great and CL is the worst. I was thinking an equipment/accessory thread would be nice since a lot of us live in the same cities.

I've had times where my wife has gotten me stuff that I will never use and end up storing or other times grow out of.

If you're looking for something specific you can post it here too. Right now I'm looking for a belt, more compression pants, gloves and slingshot.

You just need to find the right connects. Shipping would be the hardest part. There are numerous vendors/reps here in San Diego (Rogue, Cybex, Precor, Hammer Strength, Life Fitness) I have a few connects myself and have recently done a few gym remodels. This past weekend I worked with the owner of AireFitness, I think this guy is going to get big soon.

The companies I mentioned takes old equipment back when they are doing new installs. Some gyms change out equipment every 5 years and get a credit for the old equipment. Vendor in turn flips the old equipment for a much cheaper price. It helps to know the vendors as they can give you a discounted rate. I can normally get stuff at least 50% off retail. Sometimes even for free. Right now I can get cardio equipment and possibly old Precor machines. Also body pump smartbars and other functional training equipment.

West side rouge power bar 2.0
495lb of rouge bumper plates
6x8 oly platform with deadlift pins
45-90lb dumbbell set
Stair mill

I will pay with peanuts and lifting advice... Probably just lifting advice as peanuts are getting expensive these days.

Bay area has the best Craigslist. You should find what you're looking for right away. Hopefully you can hustle. Some of the prices down here are ridiculous.
