Friday was a solid back day, holy shit those one handed supinated pull downs( I didn't use the band) are really growing on me... My lower lats were PUMPED! Now, I've had a nagging left pec issue for a few months now, so i intertwined so light bench work here too. Just a bit, a few sets of 225 and 275, nothing crazy. I'm trying to get my chest strength back, but man it hurts still. Finished the night off with an awesome steak dinner at our best steakhouse in town,
Saturday was a light-ish leg day, nothing too crazy... I finished it off with 20 minutes in the steam room, and 20 minutes in the jacuzzi to help with recovery. Felt pretty good that day. Calves are really filling out and looking blocky these days. I'm really starting to enjoy running humulin 90 minutes pre workout, and eating my pre workout meal while i take it... Then sick on a shake of carbs, creatine and bcaas during my lift... Seems to be, so far, the most effective insulin protocol i've tried. No feeling hypo, etc.
Sunday was my arm day, this has been a great program that i've sort of put together, so please, try it:
This will be a back and forth, bicep to tricep,
Barbell curls, 5 sets of a heavy-ish 10-12 reps, each set is a drop set, and go to failure. Yes, normally I wouldn't advise going to failure on lift 1, but it was given to me this way and it WORKS.
Close grip bench, 7 sets of 8, nothing fancy here.
Incline seated dumbbell curls, STRETCH on these, med to heavy weight... Last set is a drop set.
Two-arm dumbbell extensions, 5 sets of 6-8
One hand DB preacher curls, go HEAVY and squeeze at the top of the rep for 2 seconds each rep. 12-15 reps, 5 sets each arm. These will burn and hurt, I promise.... but the pump should be UNREAL at this point fellas.
V bar cable press downs, supersetted with tricep dips to failure, 8 v bar press downs, go heavy and flex at the bottom, superset these fuckers with dips BABY!
Cable curls, 3 sets of 50 reps... Yes, you read that shit correctly, 50 reps... This isn't a fucking typo, BURN!
Pronated tricep kickbacks, 5 sets of 10. Bend over and keep your palms facing the ceiling the whole time.... This shit will BURN!
Now, if this arm workout doesn't have your arms feeling like spaghetti and your dick standing at full attention, you have failed yourself... When done properly, and with MAXIMUM effort, this shit should MURDER you... I want you cursing my name when you wake up the next day feeling like you were beaten with a baseball bat!
After that ultra-sexual lift, I went shooting with a girl and bought a motorcycle... Talk about the American dream!
