Plastic bags, condoms and weed

So today a lot of changes took place in California. Plastic bags are gone away with in the grocery stores (they will charge you 10 cents per bag and you have to request them), recreational marijuana is now legal, and Cali porn stars must now wear condoms.

I'm stoked weed is legal. Im all about not having the government in any aspect of personal life. Also see it as a lot safer than alcohol, so maybe less drinking and driving and alcoholism.

I'm happy plastic bags are gone. Will take some adjusting but a step in the right direction for future generations and the planet. Hopefully every other state will head in the same directions.

Condoms, never been a fan! Eventhough I have heard the argument, I don't think it's going to influence people to practice safe sex. Thank God for German porn.

Unfortunately I think missouri will be the last state to legalize weed....
I do believe, if Trump truly runs this country like he runs his own businesses, he will push to legalize pot on a federal level so that the entire country can take advantage of the taxation benefits

They should get rid of plastic bags everywhere. I usually have to ride the bus with my groceries so i got a few of those big reusable fabricbags from safeway and those things kick ass! I can fit all my groceries in 3-4 of those things, much easier to carry, and of course better for the environment.

I have a stock pile of all my old plastic grocery bags, use them for my small trash cans in all my bathrooms. Going to have to find an alternative or just not use bags at all in them. I have yet to get those big reusable bags, guess that will be next on my list.

I have them in my small cans too, but i just dump the small ones into the big trashcan outside and just keep using them unless something nasty gets in there.

The reusable bags are killer. Ya know how you never wanna make two trips to bring your groceries in but its a pain in the ass to loop 25 seperate plastic bags on your arm? Not an issue anymore. Plus they are only like $1-$2 bucks a piece. Good investment.

How ironic that now some and soon all American state governments will be legalizing. After billions spent on fighting drugs they now see the benefits (profit) to capitalize instead. Go figure

Edit- Not to mention the money taxes payers will save from sending people to jail for decades. Just watched this today and imo the punishment was overkill. Considering murderer's have done less time in some cases.

Porn stars in Cali have to wear condoms now?!?! I don't see the future being very bright for the industry there.

Exactly! I work with a guy that went to prison for cultivation in the late 80s. They weighed the dirt, rockwool and the plants weren't even budding. He's now a felon for life! This is a topic that makes me livid. So much money wasted and so many lives ruined by government control.

It's bullshit! I don't know how someone's free will can be made into a law. We made progress with legalizing weed but just took a few steps back in government control. Anytime I see a condom in a porn I instantly change it. Boring!

And that's what I get for listening to a guy from work without fact checking. Normally I would feel stupid but I'm too relieved. Looks like we will be getting a lot more Latina gloryhole and creampie surprises in the near future :)

Also back then your government inplaced racial sentences for different forms of the same drug ie cocaine. Powder coke was more prevalent in the white society and came with less time then crack. Crack being more prevalent in the African American society back then so no bias there right?.... Cocaine is fucking cocaine in the end!!!!!!

Crack was put on a higher priority because it was an epidemic. It completely took over as the drug of choice and spread like a virus. At that time it was being used by far more people at alarming rates. All races had a crack problem. If anything it was more of a bias against the lower class population that could not afford the price of powder cocaine. Everything is not implicitly rascist.

The racial differences still exist my friend. Pretty sad to tell you the truth. We have a president that wants to ban Muslims from entering the country and thinks Mexicans are "rapists."

Let's agree on one thing, crack is whack

He wants to put a hold on Muslims entering until they can be properly vetted. He also said that illegals crossing the border included murderers and rapists. He never said Mexicans as a whole are murderers and rapists. He says some dumb things that I will concede but a good amount of his statements are being twisted or plain false.

Agreed it was an epidemic prominently in the African American society. But when the Meth epidemic first hit it was more prevalent in the white society no? Are the sentences for Meth possession as stiff as the crack penalties back then? I actually don't know but don't get the impression that Meth penalties are as harsh to crack back then.

I voted no on the condoms. Who wants to watch porn thats like real life?
And weed is legal :D but theyre not going to sell it in stores until Jan 18 :(

Meth came after crack and therefore timing is everything. Over time and obvious trial and error the government found that incarcerating users did nothing to rehabilitate the offenders. Now they use a diferment program that offers rehab over jail. I believe it was in part the crack epidemic and eventually the meth that led to this. And yes, meth started out as a primarily white drug and guess can still be considered that in certain areas. However, I don't believe the "war on drugs" was racially motivated. My dad actually went through this entire system because my entire childhood so I know a lot about it.
