Toxicity of Orals.

What is more toxic to your liver a 17-aa oral steroid, or Accutane?I heard Accutane is twice as toxic, but why would they keep you on it for 6 months? Thanks for any comments/replies.

Doctors dont mind putting you on the stuff as long as they monitor your liver enzymes. I do hear its twice as toxic.
Also toxicity of orals is blown way out of proportion.
Or we would all have jaundice and hepatic cancer

Yeah, I bet people could stay on orals for a long time if they were monitored.

wow, you guys got to change avatars... I thought this post was by one person untill I looked closer... thought mjm was talking to himself
:-)

I know it, I just changed mine. I actually PMed MJM asking him to change it as I had it first. You can keep it.
But bro as you can see I changed it up, I was getting sick of seeing that shit anyway.
MJM I thought you didnt smoke why do you want an avatar like that?

Thanks for changing it bro, it is a cool avatar.I don't smoke but I think it looks very cool.Kind of like how you probably don't own a Cadillac but the avatar looks cool. :) I appreciate your politeness.Hopefully there is no more confusion. Thanks for everyones responses.

Damage from orals is comparable to alcohol damage,,,Its cumulative,,,If you give the liver a chance it does heal itself just as long as its not too damaged,,,Of course some people's livers are more sensitive to the effects of 17-aa's,,,VDC

The effects of 17aa compounds are very overrated. Most people never get baseline values checked, and the values that are elevated are almost always AST, ALT, and CK, which are more indicative of a high protein diet, heavy resistance training resulting in muscle catabolism, and cardiac muscle catabolism. For those of us that get values checked before, during and after, there is rarely any change in values with 17aa compounds.

As for a A is 2X more toxic than B, it's all dose-dependent, so you can't make a generalization without mentioning doses.

Thanks for the replies.Well let's say taking like 50 MG Dianabol a day, or something for 12 weeks then stay off for 42 weeks or something, would your liver heal fine and be ready for the next year, or something, I'm just curious on how long you can stay on them.Thanks.

Actually I got a 04' CTS. And I do smoke.
hey bro I hit you back on that post in the classified.
I wouldnt do dianabol for more than 4 weeks IMO
I dont like using orals more than 4 weeks no matter the oral of choice.
anavar too expensive for more than 4 weeks, and not worth it IMO
winny hurts my joints at week 3 so I couldnt bare more than 4 weeks
I dont do Drol'
Dbol I use to jump start my cycle for 4 weeks.
I wouldnt see a problem with a 12 week cycle of injectables, along with
wks 1-4 dbol and wks 9-12.
At least you give your liver a break.
Always use R+ALA and milk thisle

have no clue which is more toxic, but when I was on accutane, my doc hauled my ass into her office every 6 weeks to pull blood and check my liver enzymes...

Most guys go around eating handfuls of AAS and never bother checking.

Yeah I had to get my blood done every 4 weeks. It wasn't too bad because it is only a 6 month treatment.I asked one of the nurses if the liver values go up too much, and she said no as long as you don't drink these won't be too hard on your liver, and you can even do a second treatment of another 6 months if it doesn't work.It has me thinking that maybe in a few years I might run orals a little longer and get my liver checked but hopefully that'll help with size.
