This fucking thread... I swear it's gone in a complete circle from when it started. Well, with an exception of LE being introduced into the conversation and that's a pretty big fucking deal. It almost sounds like this fella from another thread is confusing this source with another with almost-the-same name and has started a shit storm here.

Even with that confusion, that doesn't negate the very-real concern of LE being informed or this guy from the other thread threatening to out TSL by name, thus putting everyone here in jeopardy.

I personally don't have a problem with @Padawan or @thetsl swinging back when they feel there're being wrongfully accused of something of this nature. That's a big fucking accusation and I'd stand up for myself as well.

My biggest issue now is with the LE word floating around. I'd like to see some evidence on that. Again, that's a shitty thing to accuse someone of being a CI/rat and working with LE when there's nothing there.

I hope like hell that everyone stays safe: Member, reps, labs and lurkers.

Right now there are fewer 60k and up jobs these days thanks to all the h1b's that have taken these sort of jobs away from well qualified Americans. Obama care? That is a joke foisted on us all.

Trump most likely won't do much to help the middle class thanks to the powerful interest that want the status quo.

60k is pretty much the sweet spot as far as taxation goes. Any more than that you pay more.

Except they get govt assistance and earned income and in some cases free or greatly reduced health insurance costs. While we the middle class got screwed on the entire deal. The rich are uneffected because they can afford to weather the storm.
The larger picture is the whole political process has gotten way to vitriolic. Most cannot see thru the fog of bullshit their fed every night around dinner time watching their favorite news show. What I think really sucks about these talking heads is when they take a factual "story" and then sneakily insert their opinion and omit the context. It makes it difficult for the average viewer to discern the difference. Partial truths are more dangerous than outright lies because the outright lies are easily refuted.

That is true the left have way more big business interests but the way they get support is by telling the poor and middle class they are for them when in reality they just swap chump change between poor and rich to make sure the wealthy never lose anything while the right tell the middle class they are for them by giving the middle class all the benefits that the left would give the poor while still helping the rich with tax breaks and other things. Long story short both parties have the poor and middle class fighting over table scraps while the people up top roll in dough. And that's not anything against trump because he's not your every day right wing republican he's more of a conservative nationalist I'm speaking strictly of bureaucrats

Truck, you have mentioned before Obamacare took away your health insurance. I don't understand this because the majority of people I know can now get pretty good insurance for around $300 to $400 a month where they couldn't afford it before.

The way I understand the law the only way you can't qualify for the subsidy is if you make too much money. What they consider too much I don't know. This is another problem with the law.

And don't confuse Obamacare with socialized medicine. It ain't even close. It's 100% capitalism at its worst.

10% of 100,000 is already less than 10% of 300,000

The problem isn't that some people are rich--- good for them.... but the problem is what there doing with there money.... it makes MORE SENSE to build tax shelters, retirement moves and hide money----

The put there money out there with high risk for minimum reward.... to high of taxes to make it worth it...

70% of the total lobbyist money went to getting ms. Clinton elected. Thats more than 2/3 of total private money sent to get some one in power.
Too bad millionaire congressmen and senators cant donate money out of their own pocket to get laws passed. Oh but lobbyists can. That is perfectly legal according to our laws. Congressmen and senators? Nope

It all goes by income. I make too much to qualify for a subsidy so the cost under the govt exchange is identical to my costs thru the work sponsored health care costs.
Its a simple explanation. Obama didnt physically take anything away. He just made it impossible to fight the financial current to actually keep insurance by way of his policies. I WAS doing $12,000 a year in weekly deductions to keep my health care plan when obama care passed. Before the affordable care act? $3,000 a year. Thats a 4x markup. And thats before you actually use the damn plan. The difference is 9k a year. Thats what i WAS saving before obama care. So me and my family had to choose between having healthcare and no further plannable savings. Hard choice but we dropped the plan.

Now that trump has signed an executive order to get rid of the penalty i wont have to pay that either. So im out insurance but im saving 9k a year again. Savings is important. Nothing worse than keeping nothing all year for doing the same amount of work as years before. That leads to financial ruin.

I hope i cleared that up for you. There are millions like me

I don't have any numbers in front of me or time to look it up so for the sake of arguing I'll take back the more statement but they both have their sides on issues for example if the left lobby against big oil it's because they are backed by alternative energy so either way neither party actually represents us

I'm with truk on this one. I couldn't afford that kinda insurance. As a matter of fact my fiance doesn't have insurance because we cant afford that. Myself and my son have it because my job provides much cheaper insurance than that. Most jobs don't.

My insurance went from 400$ per month to 1200$ the reason why others can get that cheaper insurance is because others have to over pay.

My deductible went from 2k to 10k so why do I even have insurance?
