My whole life was moving toward a goal and I achieved it. That goal got taken away from me.
Nothing major like illness or bankruptcy or loss of spouse or anything.
I found the gym a year after that life ended and it has given me a lot of relief, mainly by slamming all my angst against the biggest weights I can move.
I am not depressed or anything, I am just cruising along knowing my best is gone and can not be repeated/recovered.
I am actually more normal now as I am not driven or obsessed.
Anyone else had to settle for a compromise of your own ideals, how did you change and adjust?
