Masturbation - healthy in a relationship or not?

Alright guys

Just wondering what you guys think in terms of whether masturbation is healthy or not if in a relationship?

I know it will kind of depend of the individual an sex drive but I would think that given masturbation to porn lets say desensitises the brain and also with masturbation being more vigorous than normal sex you end up reaching orgasm much quicker. I've read this can cause the feedback loop in the brain to produce softer erections quicker i.e. higher incidence of ED. and the more often this is done the more pronounced this effect will be.

On the other hand if you get a strong erection you kind of don't want it to go to waste. Maybe getting a strong erection without any 'hand intervention' is the bodies way of saying 'all is good to go' lol

Also after orgasm - according to many sources on the internet - the bodies refractory period means testosterone/sexual desire peaks around 5-7 days with no added benefit thereafter. Maybe this means sticking to this kind of cycle gives guys a better chance of strong erections - not sure just a thought. For those with low T I guess any effect on testosterone will be negligible at best but at least the sexual desire should be noticeably better (possibly).

I'm sure for most guys if you take yourself away from sexual stimuli altogether (avoid porn etc in particular) it can't have a negative effect on erections and for most have some benefit - like if in a relationship you would be more responsive to your partner.

from my personal experience, wich is not huge, porn seems to be the problem in young people,at least my life is better without porn, maybe im growing up.

Lol. Yup.

Ha I think the strength on ones hand is always going to be greater than any pussy...can't see how anyone would disagree with that and its also easier to 'fire away' as it were with a hand ..I guess that was my point...also if someone is masturbating they will tend to want to just 'get on with it' and probably over quicker than if you had to please a partner for example...point I was making is this will likely increase the likelihood of ED over the longer term

Yeah porn is great when your a teenager but there is no doubt in my mind that many get addicted to it and seek 'harder' stuff - besides that most won't be pulling women that resemble he fit bodies on porn or girls wanting to take it up the ass whilst getting called a little slut lol

It def must desensitise the brain for sure. Besides that most people these days maybe only able to fit in sex once or twice a week if you work in a professional job, go to gym, have kids and have to do sh't loads of other things on top....so probably bets to be up for it as much as possible with the missus than to effectively have a weaker erection once the time comes to having sex with her....unless your lucky enough to have a mental sex drive even with all these factors into account and its a must to knock one out EOD

yes you get it,but anyway i guess that if you are marriage MAYBE could be a tool but that i would talking with a sexual therapist. But yeah,in general terms, seems to be a bad idea

Wow...all kinds of topics on meso huh? I'll throw my 2cents in for the hell of it. I think testosterone plays a part in ed and desire to a point but probably only like 10 to 20% of it is test level maybe less. When my test was in the low 100s I wanted pussy the exact same amount that I do when it's 1200 and that's everyday 3times a day I'd take it with every meal if my wife could keep up with me.o_O I'm probably like the only guy on here that doesn't wack off:oops: I stopped after I had the real thing. Doesn't even compare so why bother.

Masturbation more vigorous than normal sex ? I could milk the snake with one hand and eat a sandwich with the other. I couldn't do that while having sex. I'm usually catching my breath when we're done.

I jerk off eeveryday. I also have sex with my girlfriend every morning and night. Usually a minimum of 3 times and sometimes up to 6 times a day on the weekends. I don't notice any problems with erections. I get them quite often. I also haven't noticed any problems with enjoying sex with my girlfriend. Everyime I have sex with her I could probably finish in a minute or two if I really wanted to.

Same. Sometime I'll crank one out just before or right after I smash her. Just depends how I'm feeling and if I wanna pull on my dick or not

This 7 day stuff doesn't apply to anyone on cycle/pct or trt.
Which is pretty much everyone here.

You must have felt horrendous with TT levels in low 100s. I guess most will always want sex in the brain but if the dick is limp you will end up losing interest. Medical practitioners always argue what is cause and effect like cialis doesn't do anything for sexual appetite only helpful in maintaining erections. However, I disagree based on my own experience as when cialis pills have worked really well for me I get spontaneous erections the same as I did as a teenager ..this caused me to be aware of my dick and therefore resulted in sexual thoughts which in turn made me want to have sex. SO I don't buy the no effect on sexual appetite personally and what is cause and effect.

I think if you ain't whacking off and keeping it for the missus thats probably healthier unless you are one of the few who absolutely must knock one or two off every day to stay 'relaxed' and sane

Felt like shit all the time..but no ed and no loss of desire with low T just felt like someone beat me with a bat. I'm a very very horny mother fucker maybe that's got something to do with it Idk. Now when I've accidentally bottomed my e2 or bp has been too high or Ive been playing with too much deca I've had some ed issues.
