I’ve been self-administering TRT since around 2013, mostly 100mg Test E per week, with blood work every three months. A few blasts in the mix, mostly test/tren with a total under 1G per week. (Few orals since the Astro dbol incident in 2013 : ) I did take Sibutramine from Pharmacom for a while and lost a bunch of weight.
Last month I started a blast 600mg test e and 600mg tren e. I was planning on finally getting a 405 bench, so was taking more than usual (dumb, since I had just recovered from a pec tear). Went a couple of weeks and started feeling like something was wrong, super tired all the time, and dropped back to TRT.
Ended up in the hospital a week later with a high fever and high liver enzymes. The docs (6 of them) focused on a tick bite, even though it was on me less than 30 minutes. Five days on an IV of Doxycycline, 2 other unknown antibiotics, and LOTS of fluids, the fever became manageable, only coming on at night and never over 100 deg, so they let me go home. I’m still on oral Doxy.
Ever since, ALT/AST have been slowly climbing, both near 200 now, though not quite as bad as when I was admitted. The fever is also slowly getting worse – higher and more often. At least I have no trouble sleeping!
So the question is, could this have anything at all to do with AAS use? I told my family doc about it as well as a couple of the docs in the hospital. None of them thought it was important. I’m just looking for clues. My family doc is in test and wait mode, basically hoping my liver will recover on its own. I’m on a steady diet of water and not much else, eating around 1000 cals a day and losing weight like crazy. Last test showed liver function marginally worse.
I'm open to and appreciate any ideas. Not used to being unhealthy, and it's got me a little spooked.
