Yes sir buddy and I do not support slavery or condone what happened to slaves, but as a fact im a Idk how many generation southerner In the 1630s my great grandfather of how many times came here and farmed thousands of acres in Virginia and on my mom's side her people were from Georgia as far as records go back .I really don't think erasing history because someone is offended by a statue is right does anyone read a real book on history Robert e Lee, he was also in In the Mexican/ American wars he served his country for the USA he was quite a man but all the media and every one puts out utter bullshit.
 
Being laid up still I just wanted to say how refreshing it is to have a productive thread about our countries issues without members being dicks to each other. I'm fascinated to learn about all of your views and opinions on topics besides gear. This disproves the fact that we're all dumb Meatheads. Well some of you are. LMAO. Great thread.

Jeez man I got hot air flowing between my ears. I was getting so frustrated about half hour ago because I could find this container of chicken I just made. Looked for it for a long time until my wife showed me where I put it in the fridge. Not as sharp as I used to be :rolleyes:

Oh and also, there was quite a bit of hostility going around earlier. But we will just start the thread half way at page 3 and forget that the pages before even exist... just like good ol Steve Irwin forgot sting rays well... sting. Too soon?
 
Yeah I knew this one would ruffle a few feathers. I fought in 3 separate theaters of battle for the right to have these talks. I just don't like the way things are going. Too much political correctness not enough men with balls.

Mississippi state representative Karl Oliver posted on Facebook about how government and people in Louisianna should be lynched after Louisianna took down 4 Confedarate monuments earlier this year. I guess that's another shining example of liberal tears and provocation of violence....except for the fact that Mr. Oliver is a republican.

THREE DIFFERENT THEATERS OF BATTLE!? So you went to Grenada or Panama, Gulf War 1 and Gulf War 2?

Guess what guy, OEF/OIF got combined into one... GWOT. You get ONE ribbon for BOTH of those territories making it one theater. You get nice bronze stars tacked on them the more times you go over.

You wanna say you went to Syria? MY unit was the first to go there. 3rd Batt B co. That was 2015, about 9 months before I got out. So you must have just gotten out this year in order to serve it, then sit through the god awful process of ETSing.

That is true. Same ribbon for Gulf 1 and 2. You stingy Rangers almost never hand out individual medals. For a Bronze Star you'd have to take Fallujah single handedly. No I in Ranger.

Gulf war 1 was in 91. Desert storm/shield have different ribbons than GWOT. OEF/OIF were combined into the GWOT ribbon and you get a little bronze star tagged on the ribbon each time you deploy.

Bronze stars aren't anything too special. I got one.

We had a guy from marsoc do one of those Lateral shifts to the army, came in as an E5 and become my squad leader. He was in 1st (Batt?) of the marine reccy. He was telling us stories of how they dropped flyers out of helicopters the day before the raid that said "if you are still here in 24 hours you will be considered hostile and killed"


How badass is that. I missed out... Went to trashghanistan.

To this day Marine Raiders were the most intelligent, squared away fukrs I ever operated with. Not that the others weren't great also.

Yeah he was my last squad leader before ETSing. Guy was a whole new level of squared away. PT superstud. I swear to god he had AR670-1 memorized, and he drilled it into me head with flutter kicks... I had my tab so couldn't make me do elevated feet push ups.

I still scoff whenever I see the nasty girls doing shit they aren't supposed to in uniform.
