In my humble opinion I think Longstreet was a superior General and tactician. He was portrayed very badly after Gettysburg just for disagreeing with Lee. Lee ordered his troops into a suicide mission. Over a mile of open ground with no cover. Worst decision Lee made.

I agree with you 100% on statues. Shouldn't be built. Those who know of the event will respect and remember it in their own ways. And those who would protest the statue probably wouldn't even know about the event. Win win.

Also, it's a waste of land. Like graveyards. Visiting my friends graves isn't a determining factor in my remembrance of them. Our times and relationship is how I remember them.

America isn't getting any bigger, land wise (until we invade Canada). So graves, statues, and Krystal's, should be knocked down and make space for more important things.

My 16 year old loves the movie and when I took him the smile on his face was priceless. My 8 year old was bored as fuk. Probably going again next year.
