I have been fortunate to have been accepted on team Goggins. I will share all my experiences and log all workouts.

Goggins team training 3x week

Tuesday Bench
Thursday Deadlift
Sunday Squat

I can't report much since this was my first workout but that is the general outline.

09/07/2017

Comp Deadlift
375 8x5

Chest Supported Rows
160 8x8

Lat Pull Downs
140 8x8

Leg Curls
120 5x12

GHR body weight
5x15 sucked

He shut me down here. They moved on to rack pulls he told me he'd work me in slowly. Two females moved on to bench after rack pulls.

First fix on my deadlift. He wanted me to stop resetting after every rep. Next cue was as I got the bar past my knees was to slow it down and instead of popping my hips through, focus on squeezing my hips through. Next cue as I'm coming up close to lockout to look up but remain with a neutral head position.

The atmosphere unreal loud music team pumping you up. When I was training by myself I couldn't imagine doing 40 total rep of deads at 80%+. It was fucking easy.

Name a bar and we have it. Calibrated weights a given.

Deadlift set up was tweaked some.

Whatever he did I was able move the bar during setup without beginning my pull with over 265.

Please can you elaborate on the difference between popping and squeezing through as I am not an English native speaker haha
I really like chest supported rows, I think it's the best mind-muscle connection exercise for your lats. Also I wonder why many powerlifters choose lat pull downs above pull ups... A champ in our gym said they are better I just can't understand why really...
Nice for you to be part of a high level team

1st in. I'm pumped about this one and may steal peak routines from your log
I'll be sharing all and everything he teaches me and others since we are all different. I saw one sumo puller, rest were conventional. He was telling sumo puller save those hips.

Popping the hips is an explosive movement trying get the bar through at the top of the deadlift.

He said there is nothing wrong with that, but I was squeezing my glutes as I was popping through. So he had me slow down as the hips were beginning to come and really squeeze them through to get that feeling.

Once I start to get use to squeezing my glutes through then he said I'd be able explode/pop my hips through while squeezing my glutes at the same time which will get me to lockout with explosiveness.

He had me had that that position my last few reps of my last 2-3 sets until I was shaking. Almost felt like I was doing a plan with a barbell in my hand.

I'm going to do my best to get some videos of the team if can find an app that allows to hide their face. I'll put Goggins his face is everywhere.

We have a female that was doing 365 for triples. And she was doing 495+ rack pulls.

This is just my opinion on the lat pulldowns.

One I've seen on youtube and last when the latpull down was used they was over exaggerated rearward lean. I believe they are trying mimick the cue of rowing the bar when benching. The many of the team that performed lat pulldowns we're benching right after. It was their warm-up.

I did them because my training was shut down after deads and the accessory leg work and chest Supported rows. Which I used underhand grip.

Pull ups can be hard on the shoulders for some even with a regular to narrow grip. I believe you definitely get more out pull ups.

This was just my first time training with the team. The gym official opens Sunday. So it's just team training now.

The Lee Haney Expo is in October. Not sure if any of the team will be competing in it. They were at the Anaheim fit expo a few weeks ago. And two females took first.

After that Lee Haney then is the Dirty South Showdown. On December 16th and it will be in our gym to my understanding.

I'll post our workout Everytime.

This is a little clip from last night. I am waiting for my vids to be emailed to me. The man himself.
