What's the goal of TRT? (re TT levels)

You are getting robbed! Weekly appointments? Damn. I get a vial of test depot for 75 bucks and it lasts me 4-6 months. I get 4 refills when prescribed and get my own blood work done so my trt costs 150 a year.
Also, what a hassle with weekly visits, do you ever ask why I have to come here every week?
But you are also not even getting what you need from your doc, per your first post on this page. What do you mean you get your own bloodwork done? You then submit to your doc or self-monitor or what?

The goal of TRT is to get serum levels within normal physiological range and alleviate symptoms.

Dr. Scally typically would aim for around 600-700 as a trough level IIRC. If you're going to be sticking yourself with a needle, you may as well do it right.
Thanks!
What's his views on hcg? I think I remember him saying it's not necessary

My wife is a doc so she gives me quest slip and my insurance covers it...

It's all part of my visit. Price doesn't change based on dose. Weekly appt includes test, hcg and ai. Insurance covers most. Pay $20-$25 out of pocket.

What? Weekly appointment? So you're going to the doc's office EVERY week to get pinned and get meds? WTF!!!

You're supporting a clever visit driven "scam" where the doc runs an assembly line process to collect from insurance based on number of visits.

The waste of time.... hours of productive business hours spent going to the doctor every week, nuts.

No offense, but you must work in the public sector to have that kind of time?

I looked them up: https://www.agelessmenshealth.com/

They have an office next door to my original TRT doc - so I gave them a call to see how they work. It's a total joke - they write NO prescriptions, you have to go to their clinic EVERY fucking time. They aren't even capable of writing a phlebotomy prescription! Medical malpractice that place.

Imagine if women had to go to the doctor's office for EVERY single birth control pill they took.

I work and live in the real world. It's a men's clinic a couple of blocks away. It takes no more than 15mins and it's covered by insurance.

What's your suggestion?

Dude. Every state is different. Most docs by me don't write scripts for self administering. Many other labs don't accept insurance.

Be happy and lucky with what you have. I am not complaining....

He's getting robbed. Plenty of clinics have lisences in all 50 states and as long as fedex can be shipped there, he can get his stuff in 6 month supplies...
No doubt there may be a better way, but if hes comfy that is worth something. I will look into the options you have mentioned though. I don't want another appointment in my life

I have an option to come in once a month and get three weeks to take home with me. However since I will be administering myself insurance doesn't pick that up and those three weeks cost $50 each versus $25 office visit.

I know titan lab out of Tampa which dave palumbo advertises does skype consults with patients. I believe they prescribe test, var and deca. However they do not accept insurance. A months worth of test is around $200.

Before my doc cut me off I was paying 10$ a month for 4 ML 200/ml

150mg per week had me in the mid 600s. So they bumped me to 160mg.

200mg every 2 weeks blood taken 1 week after injection had me at 630s. I told him I wanted to be closer to the top, put me to 240 every 2 weeks got to 840. When people ask I say I was 120 a week.

That amount is unheard of in my neck of the woods lol
Even when he increased my dose price didn't change.
Stupid thing is they made me pay 20$ For pins I didn't use. 1 1/2 inch 25g my doc said my quads were too lean for that. They give pins based on glutes I'm guessing
