What's the goal of TRT? (re TT levels)

200mg every 2 weeks blood taken 1 week after injection had me at 630s. I told him I wanted to be closer to the top, put me to 240 every 2 weeks got to 840. When people ask I say I was 120 a week.

Why get bloods taken 1 week after injection when your next injection is still a week after that? Injecting every 2 weeks is an outdated protocol. You're talking about possibly a 500 point difference between peak and trough levels, which is suboptimal.

Not my decision, I did what I had to to get that oil lol. Because of my age they ran blood every week for almost 2 months before putting me on if I remember correctly. Lowest number was a 188.

I'm 38 on trt, dose of 70 mg a week, puts my levels around 350. My endo says I'm good cause I'm in normal range but I still feel tired.
The average and median TT levels in a 38 year old is around 600. I feel like I should shoot for that? I hear others say shoot for 900, etc.
I do like having hair and I feel ok around 450...
Any consensus or opinions on what I should be shooting for?

Forget numbers and concentrate on how you're feeling. Some guys feel great at 450. Others need to be higher to feel good.
When I was taking testosterone, I was doing 40mg every 3 days and that put me at around 600 and I felt good. When I increased it to 50mg every 3 days, my T levels were higher, but I didn't feel anywhere near as good. If 30mg only puts you at 350, I'd suggest upping your dose to 40mg every 3 days and see how you feel.

What I am doing is probably not a good idea and I am not recommending it for others, but I like the way it works for me at 75 yo and 145 lbs.

I take about 150 mg/week SC split into 2 injections. That puts my low point before an injection at about 1000 ng/dL. I have tried using less but I don't like it as well. My muscles feel much harder and more pumped when I have high test concentrations. My main activity is cycling and I do incredibly well for my age. No adverse effects as far as I can tell.

My doctor has little experience with TRT. She has only 2 other patients on TRT. She is satisfied if my test is within range (<1100) and I am not having any adverse effects. (My total cholesterol is 127 and blood pressure is 110/70.) She rarely checks my test levels any more.

Virginian, do you compete in cycling and are you subject to doping control testing?
