cardio: gamechanger?

morning fellows, question for some of you guys. how often are you doing cardio? for how long ? i’m currently trying to bulk and add some size which i have been successful as well as increased weight i also have gained some size around my gut, probably a little more than i would like. i’m loving the strength gains from all these calories but i’m curious if adding a lot more cardio would give me more of a recomp.

i don’t mind a little fat it’s gonna happen in a surplus but just interested in some feedback so i’m not struggling in spring to drop the weight and cut.

on trt 160mg a week (no real cycles yet)

If you continue to bulk then you'll continue to add fat as well. Cardio isn't some magic unicorn that eats fat, it simply burns more calories.

haha just messing , no doubt fat will come along, i guess im just not blessed like some other guys my fat is all in my gut and back .
 
Yupp his protein intake seems way low and his carb intake unnecessarily high at his current bodyweight.
i’ll experiment and adjust if you guys can recommend something ? maybe lower the carbs for a few weeks and see what happens , i’m always down for trying new shit. I JUST LOVE CARBS :D

Doc, how much cardio is consided too much? I know it burns calories, but what about for overall health? A lot of guys don't do cardio because they feel it burns muscle as well.

What's enough for me is probably different than others. The most cardio I get is HIIT sex, sets more than 8reps, and going up flights of stairs.

15-30min of light to moderate intensity cardio a couple times a week will provide the health benefits you seek.

Since you're bulking you don't really need very high protein. 175g or so will be plenty. Reduce fats a bit to around 60-70g and add in the protein and rest in carbs.

shit bro i’m lucky to get in an hour a week of cardio. why fasted ? i’ve never looked into doing anything faster , i wonder the benefits

Fasted cardio really isn't going to do anything for you unless you're already pretty lean and trying to cut. If
You're bulking there's no real reason to add it in.

doing this will still keep me around 400 carbs, so really it’s the fats/protein that may be off ?

yeah might wanna hold off at the fasted cardio i’m definitely not lean lol.

i do wonder this also, as i see a lot of guys really stress to get down a protein shake after lifting and before cardio. i would imagine if you eat well enough before training you’d have sufficient fuel?

Is there a point where too much cardio becomes detrimental to you health? Especially if someone is on cycle ? Heart wise?
 
thank you guys for the advice, i have switched up my macros according to your suggestions and my tdee.

375 carbs
65 fat
200 protein
2900kc

will take docs suggestion 15-30 mins cardio 3x a week. let’s see how it goes!
