I understand that. I figure $35 is a small price for the possibility of feeling a little better. Some good friends have been using it with good results that were near immediate so its worth a look. I'll never touch pain killers so if there is a natural option I'm all for it

I'm with you. Painkillers can fuck off unless absolutely necessary. I'm interested in the idea of inflammation treatment via marijuana. It's an interesting idea to me. I love tincture like it's my son so why not give that a shot?

Personally I feel the benefits of MJ have been massively overstated and the effects hyped by those who enjoy it as their DOC (drug of choice). However, I guys in comparison to oxycodone and the like Marijuana just doesn't stack up. Though there are other government and corporate factions like “big pharma” that want to keep illegal on a federal level, thus making it illegal to be studied. These agendas are with out a doubt financially motivated.

Yeah I do know what I'm talking about. I suppose what I meant is that big pharma hasn't manufactured a suitable replacement for opioids. It's why the gov is losing its mind with the Opioid epidemic. They need new cash cow and rehab services don't pay as much as actual addictions.

What's more, why do I think Marijuana is overstated/overrated? Because I've tried it for serious pain. When you can use MJ for surgery pain I will concede that they have succeeded at manufacturing a replacement but at of now even come out of surgery morphine is barely adequate. I live with daily pain and take meds for it. If not for meds I would be sedentary. Regardless perhaps don't take this statements as insults, they aren't. Hell, as of yesterday down here you can buy weed over the counter but ammo is banned and gone

Jumping into this conversation.

I'm very much looking forward to taking high doses of CBD once I'm not subject to drug testing anymore (just a few more months). I have a lots of joint and back pain from years of lifting and a couple deployments. Not anything debilitating, but shit still hurts. I recently asked my doc for something stronger than Ibuprofin but not a narcotic. They put me on celebrix and it sucked. I don't know if it did anything for inflammation but it did jack shit for pain. I'll just have to stick to my Vitamin I horse pills for a while longer.

But I can't jump the gun on CBD because even though lots of companies market it as THC free, it's not. And to take CBD in a dose high enough to actually do anything means there's a small risk you could build up just enough THC to trip the drug test. It's not worth the risk right now.

As far as man-made THC goes, I've read the synthetic stuff is terrible. THC, CBD and the terpenes all have a synergistic affect that can't be replicated with synthetic THC alone. Score one for Mother Nature

Of course I’ve been injured I’m 45 years old.
Though I have never needed a really strong pain killers except for the time I had kidney stones they gave me delaudid, but that was 15 years ago. Yes I have been a recreational user for 28 years if that’s what you want to call it. Let’s just say I’ve pretty munched smoked cannabis ED for over 25 years.

Now I noticed in both of your posts you compare it to opiates and your argument seems to be that MJ is not a good pain killer like opium. This is like comparing apples and oranges. Cannabis is a much more versatile plant. If you would like me to list all the uses of modern day cannabis in comparison to the opium poppy I will. Though in this this day and age with the internet there is no excuse to be uneducated on the subject.

You see cannabis never has and never will need the approval of western medicine to prove its versatility and effectiveness.
This is a plant that has never killed anyone since humans and animals began consuming it. Unlike tobacco, the opium poppy, and all the bullshit medicine being pushed by big pharma with all its bullshit side effects.

I have a handful of patients that believe CBD helps with their insomnia.

I took cbd cnady to help with my suboxone withdrwawal and worked like a charm.
I was on 1 full pill. Now on 3/4. So When I get to 1/4 going into 0. I will be eating candy once or twice a day. I like the feeling of calmness and it helps with anxiety which is the worst for me when withdrawing.

I’ve see. A couple family members become completely dependent on prescribed pain meds. Their livers have been compromised and this was all brought on post surgery.

One of them had to rehab to get off. When he was finally off he realized his body was wanting the fix so bad it was creating pain in his mind. He said he felt as if he’d been to hell and back getting off.

My mother had been trying to get off pain meds since a back surgery a couple years ago. Doctors push this on the elderly and it makes me sick. Pharma should pay for the rehab when requested by a patient. And yet marijuana is labeled schedule 1...right there with heroine. Such a joke.

Doctors rarely “push narcs onto patients” the FACTS are patients often insist on stronger pain meds bc “those other drugs just don’t work for me”.

And if you think this is surprising in today’s workd where a large portion of folk are looking for short cuts to “gains” or “weight loss” or “anxiety management” in the form of a pill
think again.

Doctors are at fault for not emphasizing narcs can be ADDICTIVE and for simply saying NO!

Yet when the latter occurs many patients go “doctor shopping” to get what they want rather than what they need.

You want to help your mom stop blaming others by kicking the can down the road bc chances are the PROBLEM is your Mother and that’s no

Oops let’s see there’s one study of CBD
in schizophrenic patients, another in pedi epilepsy oh and look there’s one
investigating the benefit of CBD in smokers and none contain a sufficient number of patients to formulate an evidence based conclusion!
