So I've decided to drop the milk. Was consuming about 1/2 a gallon between 2 shakes and another quart with lunch. I love milk but what I don't like is looking like I'm 7 months pregnant by 6pm. So fuckin bloated. So I'm switching to almond milk for an experimental period. Now I'm faced with making up those calories I'll be missing. I know, eat more, but I drive for a living. Its tough and milk was easy. I'm looking for similarly easy suggestions. Thx dudes

You can buy almond milk, coconut milk, called milk that has comparable calories.

Or you could add a tbsp of oil to shakes.

Or take digestive enzymes and keep the milk.

It has less sugar and MORE protein then regular dairy milk. If you need cals nut butter is the way to go. I consume 10 Tbls a day.
Oil works also but doesn’t taste nearly as good!!

The almond milk I bought (silk) only has 30 cals per serving. Opposed to 160 from whole milk .

It's probably the low cal version with zero sugar. Try looking for a higher calorie one, they're out there but less common. Even still, the highest calorie almond milk isn't going to compare to whole milk.

I picked up that almond/ cashew milk. Thx for the tip man. Its really only 30 cals less than whole milk. Hopefully that'll help with the bloat.

I eat at least two PB and honey sandwiches a day. I think that alone breaks down too..
1000 cals
4 x bread = 20g protein and 480 cals
5 tbls of PB = 18g protein and 500 cals
Also this combination is a complete protein.

Ok so I picked up that almond / cashew milk that @Morefyah recommended. I used it last night in my shake which consists of two scoops of whey protein and two scoops of real food carbohydrate. It was so thick it was not even drinkable and this was using 16 oz of liquid. Which is usually fine using milk or even the almond milk I got earlier in the day. I thought perhaps it was the new real food I got which I switched to the rice blend. So I decided to make another one this morning before I left the house and I would have been better off with a spoon then trying to drink this stuff. So weird why it comes out stream Lee thick when using this almond cashew milk

I don’t think it’s the veg milk, my recipe;

I use a blendtec blender
2 scoops of vegan protein
3 cups water
1 cup veg protein milk
1/2 cup organic oats
3 Tbls of almond butter
1 banana
3 tblsp PB powder
This fills 2 large blender bottles with a good consistency. I like to put them in the freezer before I drink them, they taste much better!
I sip my shakes throughout the day, I never slam them down. Just a steady flow all day

Why not do 16oz egg whites and 2 scoops of real food instead of the whey?

I recently quit doing milk with my shakes too. Doing 8oz 93/7 ground beef with every shake as a snack to replace the cals. It's a hassle to add an extra lb of solid food to my day but it's been much less bloating than milk, and I generally tolerate milk pretty well compared to some guys.
