Speaking of PRIDE.....I'm sure everyone has seen this by now, but their contracts stated that they will not test for AAS.

Brock Lesnar is a freak. He had a wrestling background. That's not really a guy that's just big. I'm talking about a trained guy against a guy that's just big. How many bodybuilders or powerlifters can last more then a few minutes in a fight ?? Most don't do any cardio or a sport. Strength and size does help for sure, but if that person doesn't have any type of fighting background that guy doesn't have a good chance.
Heard that. We dont really disagree all that much here. Lesnar is a freak for sure. And hes a big guy. Like i said i aint talking BB or PL big here. Im saying an athletic D lineman thats trim and around 290 isnt being fooled or submitted straight up by a small BJJ guy. Hes coming with it and hes gonna wreck shit. Im talking about a big guy (over 6' and has a military back ground and an attitude to boot. His size will absolutely matter. Im talking about guys like that. Size, power and athleticism.Brock Lesnar is an extreme freak level athlete regardless of size. There were plenty of 300lb fuckers that were blasting hard in PRIDE back in the day and it really wasn't that beneficial to be that big if those fights are any indication. The bigger guy will almost always get winded / tired / lose speed quicker and with the right opponent that's basically a death sentence. In grappling I can say from experience strength and size is only going to shine when you're equally skilled as your opponent, until then its basically irrelevant.
This is assuming were talking about a hypothetical MMA fight in a cage or a ring, not a street fight or crazy wild card situation where outcome is anyone's bet.
Are you referring to monsters like you??Heard that. We dont really disagree all that much here. Lesnar is a freak for sure. And hes a big guy. Like i said i aint talking BB or PL big here. What about Brian Shaw. Submit him? Lol cmon bro. Just sayinAre you referring to monsters like you??

I'm not saying every situation. Is the same. What I will say there a some really big and strong guys that get smashed on the mats. You be surprised how a smaller guy with technique that know leverages and weight distributions can feel like he's strong as fuck. I do t think you understand that a big guy like Brian shaw will try to explode on you and get exhausted. A good bjj player will hold on and smother you give you no space and he will push off or try anthi g he can until total exhaustion. The yes, he will get submitted.
Im even saying officer Billy Badass is taking down mr BJJ controlling him and arresting him despite the BJJ man having a greater skill set. He will lose 1 on 1 vs an aggressive large
Disagree. You be surprised how many cops train bjj because of how effective it it. Not all bjj guys are 120lbs. There are a lot of beasts training bjj. I see your view truck I used to think that way before i trained bjj. Give it a shot for 6 months and tell me if you feel the same way.Im even saying officer Billy Badass is taking down mr BJJ controlling him and arresting him despite the BJJ man having a greater skill set. Some BJJ is included in the MCMAP. Im familiar with it my manDisagree. You be surprised how many cops train bjj because of how effective it it. Not all bjj guys are 120lbs. But you have some training. I'm talking about the untrained jacked guy. Some BJJ is included in the MCMAP. Im familiar with it my man
Im talking RL scenario@gr8whitetrukker, you talking about grappling or mma context?
Thats my point and ive seen yours. Were getting our crosshairs mixed up here man, lol. A big strong athletic guy with some training is a damn good bet for just about any scenario in RL even against a BJJ guy. Size def matters but not because you lift weights lol. Not some 5'7 jacked dude. Id take a 220 6'3 SEAL over a 5'7 280 jacked BB anydayBut you have some training. I'm talking about the untrained jacked guy.
Eh i knew some one was gonna say that lol. The old size doesnt matter routine.
I remember a certain frank mir with all his wonderful accomplishments being beaten to an inch of death by a 6'3 265 lb Brock Lesnar fresh in the arena with nothing but wrestling under his belt and frank a 265 lb bjj black belt. Cmon bro. Size absolutely fucking matters. Not talking about a swollen 5'7 bodybuilder. Im talking about a big man that can move and has power. IE Brock Lesnar or anyone with size and athleticism
I bet John Jones could submit him! What im saying is plain and simple no bjj dude is submitting Shaw. Because he simply is too large, too strong, his measurements are too much to overcome. 6'8 440. Yeah GL with that. And you KNOW that mfer can move. He just stands there and no BJJ guy is getting in his comfort zone let alone bringing his big strong ass to the ground. Nope. Nope. Nope
Yeah but not because hes a BJJ guy. But because hes john freakin jones. Hes the best weve ever seen in the UFC IMOI bet John Jones could submit him!![]()
