Filtering without vacuum

Syringe filter are a pia. I’m gonna use a
Bottle top next brew! What kind are u using? The only thing that makes me nervous about them is I read about them cracking with improper pressure. With that said I think I’m gonna try a brake bleeder for the first couple attempts.
Please post how it went when you’re done. I’m curious about the electric pump and pressure! Ty
No more syringe filters. Lol.

Hey I got a break bleeder that I'm gonna try out first as well.
I got my sterile Nalgene .22 bottle tops.

I also got more Whataman needle filters as backup in case I get any surprise cracks from pressure. Hopefully my next brew goes well as it was pretty bad imo squeezing that filter like that.

I wish someone had a video with details on this as I know what has to take place but I seem to over think things without having further details.
Like I'd shit if I'm all good filtering and it breaks sending my goodies everywhere etc.

I’ve seen a good tip before stating to place the entire filter assembly in a pan or some other kind of catch basin if using a filter unit with a plastic bottle in case it cracks. That way the oil can be recovered and then filtered again.

The only time I've used one was a few weeks ago and I had it sitting in a Pyrex baking dish. The plastic receiver had spider cracks all on the bottom. No leakage but I won't be doing that again.
