Has anyone used one? Thinking about buying one instead of a squat rack.

Or anyone think it's worth buying? Or have any suggestions? I wanna get something going in my garage.

Go with a squat rack. Search craigslist. When I started my garage gym I got a real basic one for $150. It never went down in value so when I found a better one I sold the old one for $150. Just keep your eyes out for good deals.

The leverage machines don’t work as well imo. I had one from powertec that I salvaged from a nearby high school before they demolished it. All it was good for was calf raises.

I think for the same price you can pick up a good power rack, bench, some plates and a good amount of dumbbells. You might have to drive a ways to pick them up. They’re all over craigslist.

Online used is the best route for price. Facebook market place. letgo. Craig’s list. If you’re thinking new and it’s going into a garage Rogue makes a bunch of space saver shit that is really cool.

Yeah I was gonna get the monster lite rack. Folds in so that's a plus. I think it's 700 for the 41" depth. I've looked around for a while on Craigslist and stuff and some people are out of their fuckin minds trying sell rusty ass shit for 500 lol.

I was just thinking the Leverage Rack is more versatile. But then again squats, bench, and presses is all I really need. I'll hit the gym for machines.

Gotta keep looking.

Don’t be afraid to lowball people either. Especially when their shit is on there for a while.

My suggestion is to just buy a squat rack. They're far more versatile. Check out FB market and you can usually cut deals.

What you want to do is find something that has been posted for awhile and lowball the seller.

Amazon is having some deals today.

Thoughts? Can get the lat pull down/ cable row attachment too. Comes out to 355

I've never heard of that company but that doesn't mean it isn't any good. I've researched a lot on the best home gym equipment and have constantly come across the same names. I'll most likely be going with rep fitness. Seems to be the best bang for the buck between the three but also good quality.

Yeah after doing tons of research I circled back to rogue. Like @BigBaldBeardGuy was saying about the dimensions of the steel being 3"x3" is going to be way better quality and stronger. A lot of the "off brand" was 2"x2". Which don't get me wrong I'm sure there are some quality racks and rigs with those dimensions. But rogue has a lifetime warranty and that has me sold. I have son who is going on 2 years old and I'd like that rack to still be around when or if he decides to pursue weightlifting.

I like Rogue shit at the gym, but that's because I pay to be there. I'd expect their shit to be top flight.

But honestly?

I've got my cousin's old rack. It's 2x2 and going on 20 years. It's not a name brand, just do your research read reviews.

I have a Body Solid adjustable bench and it's pretty decent. I can't speak for the brand as a whole, but I have no complaints about the bench, at least.
