I’m using it to maintain but yes it says I will stay at 181 and I’ve been that for a few weeks now.Question, good sir. When you close out your journal for the day and it tells you that if you ate like this everyday, in 5 weeks you will weigh xxx pounds, do you find that to be accurate for you?[/
Also, what do you guys use for grilled chicken? There’s 100 different grilled chicken options and they’re all different. Some have tons of fat, some have barely any and can vary by 2-300 calories per 8oz. I can’t scan a barcode and weigh it raw because I get it from the butcher, plus weighing it raw makes it impossible to do when you’re making a couple pounds at a time and then meal prepping. Same with Cod.
You have to pay $2.99 or something for the food data bank correct? Otherwise you have to input everything manually?I once read somewhere that the labels most of the time have a deviation of 5% of what they actually show. Depending on your goal (Bulk/cut) you could account for that when structuring your diet by vigorously tracking your energy intake as well as your body weight fluctuations.
As a side note, I always preferred Chronometer since I think it has more database you can draw data from as well as calculating your micronutrient needs.

Honestly I never close it out.. but I just went in and closed out the last few days to check and it seems to be working for mine.@JoeBlob12 i haven't been able to close out my journal for the past couple of days. Have you been experiencing the same issue by chance?

Mine still give me the streak without closing it out. I actually didn’t even know that was an option until you mentioned it so I’m just used to doing it that way. I’m going to try to get in the habit of closing it out each day.Scratch that last assumption. App is working as normal again.
i like to see the streak of consecutive days of logging climb.

Oh nice!i didn't know that. i guess the only thing that closing it out does then is at the start of a new week, they send you a weekly digest that shows total calories consumed for the week, a graph that shows how tight your macros were on each day and a few other weekly related totals.

Labels definitely aren't 100%, very much agreed. I think with these apps you are lucky to be within +/-150 calories of intake and that's going to be weighing everything and being extremely meticulous. Ever weighed protein bars from the same box? You'd be surprised at even how much they fluctuate.
