Cool old cars

I had a gold 71" Camaro in another life . Factory 4-speed .
I never thought I would fall into the category of those middle aged morons who had a bad ass car that they got rid of and later regretted. Sure enough, I’m one of those dumb asses. I had a 66 Bel Air and the sad thing is, I never cared for it when I had it because I was devastated that I totaled my 69 Cougar because some dumb pregnant broad ran a stop sign. Fast forward almost 30 years and I regret almost every day selling that Bel Air and for so cheap!

Looking to buy either a 65 or 66 Thunderbird. I prefer a 66 but I’ll take a 65. Not looking to put a ton into it for restoration and not looking to spend a lot buying it. I know - we’re talking about a classic here, but believe it or not, I know a guy selling a 65 in really good shape for $3500.
66 with the swing away steering column.
Growing up my pops always had a 66 to 69 and I loved everything about them.
I also liked the 63 with its spaceship character.

Anyway good choice on the 66 and a great price as well.

I’m particular about the Birds. I wouldn’t get a 61 or 62, but would get the final year of the rocket Bird - the 63. Loved how they made it retro with the fins and round taillights and they even had a sports roadster edition on the convertibles with a tonneau cover to hide the back seats. The 64 was cool but I would only take a 65 or 66 of that body and wouldn’t touch the 67-72. The 76 is bad ass though and I liked the 77-79.
