Delivery Attempt: Action Needed - Signature Required

Following for info. Exact same thing happened to me couple days ago. Everything i have read always says dont sign for shit. I missed the postman, but saw he was still in the neighborhood so went up to him and said "i think this was delivered to my roommate. Can i just grab it?" Asked for my id (which i was not about to do that) said he was out of town for a week to which he said they will hold it for a week. The whole id thing through me, but i guesa jo shmo off the street coulda just grabbed it. I did email source and they said it happens with international, but depends on state to state and it was out of their hands. Let us know what happens with signing the slip. Wanted to try that
They needed ID because there was no guarantee that you were who you said you were or even lived where you said you lived. I tracked down the mail carrier one time and he told me he needed ID. It’s really just a safe practice.

If it’s EMS from any country you need to sign for delivery. It all just depends on which shipping courier the source is using, regardless they should have the info posted in there source page, or as many said just email them.

Registered equals signature.. that's what the P.O. told me. I think I signed it Clark Kent. They never asked for my I'd. Just gave them the delivery slip.
Fake name def will work, that's how most of people do. They don't ask for ID afaik.
STATUS UPDATE: I scheduled a redelivery via informed delivery, signed the slip that was in there, & and it was win my mailbox today.
Glad to hear that your prob got solved!

So an international order just arrived as it's destination today. I checked tracking and noticed it said "Delivery Attempted: Action Needed". When I picked up the mail the slip stated a signature was required. Is this normal for international shipments or have any of you had to do this for a similar situation? With all that's been happening over the past month I wanted to check before pursuing.

The online status stated "Notice Left (No Authorized Recipient Available)" but the actual PS Form 3849 had the "Adult Signature Required" box checked. I believe I can sign that form and schedule the redelivery.
Haha I've only ever had one domestic source that required signature and had to do the same thing. I thought I was gonna have a heart attack before I got out of the post office with the package thinking I was about to go to prison and it was a sting.
