Very true. I guess if it detracts from your life that is a different story. Although I would say that the ultimate goal of being the best bodybuilder you can be outweighs any risks like being miserable and shortening your life for some. To each their own....

You may think 3-5 years is insignificant when you’re younger, but towards the end you might wish you had that time, say that loss is the difference between getting to meet your grandchildren or dying shortly before they’re born. They say life is precious and you may end up beating yourself for shaving off so much time for a superficial pursuit. I’m not he to convince you to stop, just letting you know priorities change, similar to young guys claiming they don’t care about having kids or trt then after a decade or so things change and they’re having a hard time getting fertility back..

Definitely true. But me telling anybody else to avoid living their life to live as long as possible is a bit dumb. Could be dead tomorrow or live longer than everyone I know. We should be here to help people weigh the risks, not weigh them for them. AAS users aren’t dropping dead at early ages on a frequency above the average population and plenty of pro bodybuilders (id argue the heaviest users) are living well into 80s..

First of all the guy I quoted said he doesn’t care even if roids were gonna cut five years of his life, or that it’s an acceptable trade. I am saying if you’re younger that time sounds like meh, but later he will likely care a great deal. Yes life is unpredictable, and if you’re worried about death you basically are dead but that doesn’t really matter cause he’s saying if it were certain that his aas use was cutting his life 3-5 years, so in this imaginary scenario there’s not much uncertainty.
No roids typically won’t kill you quickly, you won’t overdose and die. If it were to cause harm it would be more insidious, like a bad diet. Although I do know a few that died early..Anyhow non of that is relevant, I didn’t mention any risks, didn’t tell him to avoid anything, simply that he may not value time now but he might in the future.

Ah ok. Yea I don’t agree with the op’s pursuit.. I personally don’t go around telling people to stop doing something cause it’s “bad” for them unless it was putting others in danger. I don’t tell people they shouldn’t smoke which is obviously bad, I certainly won’t tell people to stop steroids which is a lower risk than tobacco. It’s good to know the risks tho so you know what to watch out for and such.
