As I always saw it since i was young, respect to be respected, treat others like you want to be treated. Thats just me. But in the other hand, somtimes ppl have to step up and say how they feel even though its disrespectful.
About time you admitted you been wrong and that’s a start. Being constructive is the best thing even when someone’s criticizing you. Expressing an opinion is a good thing but carefully choosing your words does have an impact without sounding disrespectful.
