First time doing these. Just like conventional, Im stronger off the floor. I either strained or pulled something on my inner thigh/groin area. Probably should have backed off when I felt the pain but you know gains and stuff.

Did a bunch of stretching and mobility stuff to get through the rack pulls. I had a number in my mind I wanted to get and I got it. Not that it was intelligent but I down played the groin pain and now Im limping around like a fuckin cripple. Have to ice it and work on it a little and stay away from sumo for a bit.

That's pretty much the way I did it. Try all cues, throw away the ones that don't work. Keep the ones that do. Its best to do this in off season though when not prepping for a meet. If you are meet prepping you can play around a bit, but mostly stick to what you feel is comfortable until you peak and compete. Btw the word comfortable is relative. The proper technique for the bench should always be uncomfortable, if not you aren't getting your entire body TIGHT and in to the lift . When is your meet @Worf?
 
My meet was 2 weeks ago, I’ve just kept the log going. Now is the time for me to fix my bench before I do another meet.
 
Iced and heated the groin last night, slathered in icy hot. Loaded up on ibuprofen and had a mostly pain free day. Sore but not that bad I couldn’t climb ladders and lift shit today. Maybe just an overuse strain from pullin heavy (for me )sumo two weeks in a row. I don’t think it anything major. Will adjust training as needed.

Funny story back in my heavy partying days was doing some ecstasy with a group of people and this one dude went into the bathroom, stripped naked, and covered his entire body with icy hot thinking it would feel cool while he rolling. Turned out it was very unpleasant lol.
I was at Hockey Goalie school when I was younger. I was quite sore one night. I was staying and grandpas and he had some old school linament. My thighs were the worst so put that all over including the groin. Holy shit that was not fun, and to make it even worse I though a hot bath would help, boy was I wrong.
 
You guys ain't kidding about the icy hot. I rubbed some onto my backside as it was sore near the lower back and some got near the starfish and holy shit the burn was insane!

Icy hot kept in the fridge makes it even crazier feeling
 
What ever is in icy hot , it doesn’t mix well with the nuts or gooch.
I like Voltaren for the most part now. Was at Walmart a week back and they didnt have it so picked up Rub A535 Maximum Strength. Holy crap this stuff can get hot but helps..

All in all a good session, didnt push too hard with the accessories. Needed to take a break from straining on DE days
 
Since Im doing b/c now I definitely do. Maybe loose a rep here or there but no major drops like when I would do cycle/pct in my 20's. That 500/125 test and deca is the most Ive ran in 10 years. over the last year Ive only done a few short ester blasts on top of trt and managed to keep most all every time even with the little 5-6 week blasts. No telling where I'll be at a few months down the road but by then it'll be just about time for another blast

Yeah, I don't really lose much strength either. Just look smaller and softer.
 
I use tiger balm a lot, kind of spendy for the amount you get but it works well. Even as atrophied as my balls are I don't have it in me to get it to close

Smoked the squats . Could have cut these an inch or so higher and probably got 210kg or 463 but went conservative so I could go 3/3

Bench

Went 1/3 on bench , called both times for ass coming up. This really hasn’t been an issue in training but it was today. The last attempt I laid flat on the bench and didn’t even try to have my lower body tight. Didn’t want bomb out. It flew up , probably had another 10 kilos but was too late to try adding anything. I definitely have some stuff to work on with bench. Not sure if it was just the meet or what got to me.

Was fairly spent by this point. These moved well and I could have maybe had another 2.5-5 kilos but I wanted to get my lifts and went fairly conservative since I was tired.

I did the pop tart thing and I think it gave me some what of a boost along with caffeine pills and eating my regular meals. All in all a good experience but I have some work to do on my bench form. I’ll probably do another meet at the beginning of next year.

You Klingons are pretty strong....;) :p
