Covid breaking my hopes

Alright what the fuck do I do to workout. My main gym closed and the only other person I know who runs a gym that secretly stayed open finally closed. So what the fuck do I do? I don’t have any weights and currently can’t go drop $300+ for weights. I tried body weight stuff but wholly fuck that takes forever and I feel like it’s doing nothing. I tried doing some stuff with objects around my house but for my safety and honestly not many things where heavy enough I don’t know what to do

I started running again. Get outside. Try hiking. Fresh air. Sun. Two or three weeks of no weights shouldn't break you mentally if you have no access to weights.

The real answer?

Stay on a strict diet and maintain some semblance of a schedule. Maintaining your diet will be far more effective than anything else as far as maintaining mass/bodycomp goes. As far as the actual expenditure of cals, just stay active. Majority of us here could probably use the rest anyways.
 
There is no excuse for not doing pull-ups correctly, many big lean guys do ridiculous pull-ups, like so short movement that it could only work for my warm-up, and I don´t wanna hear you are too damn heavy.

As a strength athlete, you should be able to fly over the bar.

Chin over the bar and full lower extension. No swinging.

You're 24, good number of us are over 35, 40, 50+. Fuck a pullup.

Age is an excuse, If I keep doing my pull-ups now at my 23, I am sure at 50 I will be still doing.

Thing is, pull-ups are not like getting a bar with a bunch of plates in there and just lifting it. Pull-ups are also a skill, and it takes time and patience. Ultimately muscle-ups are God Mode.

I’m 53 - I’ve got 10 strict ( ie from full hand , hollow core, pointed toes) or 20 Kipling ( Crossfit style ) in the locker.

In fairness volume does drop off with multiple sets but @kosp does have a point

You could try over the next few weeks to build to

5 sets x 5 strict pull-ups
5 sets x 5 single leg pistol squat ( each leg)
5 sets x 5 handstand press-ups

Do it as a circuit

That’s a serious tricep, bicep, lat, shoulder quad and glute workout

There’s loads of progressions and scaling options if you haven’t got a particular movement in your locker already

Im largely joking but for me there's better options at my age and health. Sure I can do 10 strict pullups. My shoulders, joints, arthritis prefer that I dont.

If they just let die whomever has to die instead of destroying the economy and billions of lives to save 2% of the population (old and sick) and let us move on with our lives, but no, we have to stay in basically what is domiciliary arrest for what could be years to come.

The riots should start in a couple of months, anyway, it will be interesting to see how it turns out.

1 Pushups. Buy some plastic handles online so you don't strain your wrists.

2 Install a chinup bar
Steel tube diameter and wall thickness to do chinups?

3 Bodyweight calf raises
You can even do one leg calf raises for increased difficulty or even grab a dumbell.

4 High rep bodyweight squats and lunges. Add some dumbells as desired.

5 Buy some dumbells and do some biceps/triceps/shoulder exercises.

6 Bodyweight crunches/reverse crunches.

Enough for now you'll get VERY sore from them. I did. Perhaps you get so accustomed to doing the same exercises in the gym that some high rep bodyweight variations leave you really sore.
