There is no one form of Anarchism, so answering your question is impossible.
For me Anarchy is autonomy, it's not collective, it's not joining a group or forming a labor union, even though there are lots of anarchist that firmly believe in such things.
Modern Anarchy is vastly simple compared to the writings of those living in the past, so it's not even relevant to survey the historical. If someone doesn't want the government to meddle in their affairs, they want to be left alone to do as they please, that's close enough to anarchy for me. Don't need anything fancy. The problem is all these bozos that can't seem to image a world without the government insuring their store shelves are stocked full of goodies made in China, they want to get rid of the current authority, and replace it with their flavor of authority, to me that's fucked.
