Maybe there is chatter higher up the food chain but nothing is being discussed yet for frontline workers in my state.
I just want to add again....keep your hands clean. (Not you, just in general terms).
Most people don’t think of germs as a chain of events. Think about this....
A guy shakes his buddies hand and then grabs his cell phone to type up a text to his girl. Then he decides to eat some chips so he washes his hands real quick. He grabs the bag of chips but then his phone vibrates. He opens up His phone and responds with a quick text. Then he eats some chips. Is he clean or no?
The answer is obviously no. Any bacteria that was on his phone before he washed his hands is transferred right back onto his hands after he sent the last text, into the bag of chips, and directly into his body.
Many people forget that anything they touch is an avenue for germs to enter the body.
If we are diligent with keeping our personal items clean AND washing our hands IMMEDIATELY before eating or rubbing our eye or fingering our b-hole, we should be very low risk for getting any type of bug or virus.
And turn off the fucking news. They don't know shit about dick.

My father in law and mother in law have a habit of holding a tissue/Kleenex in their hand for hours constantly using it and touching everything and everybody.
Can’t fix stupid. They ALL have preexisting conditions and are old as dirt. If my area keeps going like it is and the virus spreads they are totally fucked. Sad deal but they are hardheaded as fuck and REFUSE to respect this virus and change their ways.

*Tons* of old people do this and it is indeed pretty gross. I think their nose runs all the time due to allergies, etc and it just becomes this weird habit. Dementia/Alzheimers is a bitch to deal with. So many weird nervous ticks and habits. And God help you if you try to convince them otherwise. Tissues become their swiss army knife...runny nose, bumped my arm and now it's bleeding, pickup that bug I can't see to identify, cleanup the crumbs from my 15th snack of the day, etc, etc.
Having shopped with/for old people it really tests YOUR sanity. They become kleenex connoisseurs. It has to be this brand, this box, etc. They need the ones WITH lotion AND the ones WITHOUT. Never, never, never ask why. Trust me...they are doing something gross with them you'd rather not know about.

In case anyone is interested, my mom says they are both covid negative now and feeling great. Nice to have some good news instead of more hysterical bullshit.
This is really long, so I'll just post the link. But it looks like the AAPS, the CDC and the WHO recommend against mask wearing by the general public. They need to get with the agenda, I mean program, and tell the people what the media wants them to hear.

you might be mixing up stats. The US has an annual death rate of 8.8 deaths per 1000 citizens. Assuming that covid continues its current path you will likely be looking at approx 9.0-9.3 for this year. My bet is an almost completely average year but we will have to wait and see.

I'll just leave this here. I remembered reading it after Sworder attacked me for my religion, so you can thank him for the diversion. It's a REALLY big pill to swallow, though there does seem to be a disproportionate number of occultists among the elite these days. They are devices of statistical accuracy. In effect, they do quite well at detecting those who aren't trying to defeat them. Anyone with a little knowledge can defeat them with minimal preparation. That won't change any time soon, masks or not. The main risk is getting singled out when the device can't recognize you.
Several groups are working on ways to make the devices mistake a face for another without significantly altering its appearance to other humans. This would be useful if someone like, say, Assange, escaped from prison and his supporters wanted to aid his getaway. Everywhere the cameras looked they would find their target.

I have seen a number of bloggers suggest wearing clearly inadequate masks, like using cheese cloth or pantyhose. The idea being to force governments to continuously refine their definition of what they require we wear until even the general populace becomes enraged at the absurd contradictions. So iron a Red Sox patch on to a cheese cloth mask, and you're good to go : )
