I have seen a number of bloggers suggest wearing clearly inadequate masks, like using cheese cloth or pantyhose. The idea being to force governments to continuously refine their definition of what they require we wear until even the general populace becomes enraged at the absurd contradictions. So iron a Red Sox patch on to a cheese cloth mask, and you're good to go : )
I would like to think that would work but I’m not so sure. The sheep have taken over the farm.

My city is now mandating them while outside in public. You can no longer walk down the streets of downtown without a mask unless you want to be “warned” and then fined after that.

My gym now requires them while working out even though health clubs were excluded from the mandate. 90% of us wear the masks as chin coverings. A member in protest had some old ass tighty whities chopped up and tied around his head on Friday. When leaving he asked if he could speak to “comrad owner” to discus the requirement. I got a laugh out of that one!

Whats going on now is that everyone, including perfectly healthy people, is to assume they have the virus. And now when out in public, these healthy people are required to wear a mask, regardless of them not having the virus. And if they don't comply, they're selfish and don't care about their fellow Americans.

You can't make this absurd thinking up.

Seems like as soon as I decide I know something, some new info comes out that conflicts with it <sigh>

My patient caught Covid-19 twice. So long to herd immunity hopes.
Emerging cases of Covid-19 reinfection suggest herd immunity is wishful thinking.

and if that’s the case we can forget about a vaccine as well.
But in reality I’ve had chicken pox more than once as a child so it happens with viruses, but based on the data so far it seems pretty unlikely that this will be a common theme.
