Its typically right leaning people seeing it as a power grab by the left, I see them list the gun ban as one thing but I see that as a completely different issue to covid. Anyone who thinks that mandatory masks is some commy encroachment needs to shut the fuck up and put a mask on for the compassion of other people even if you're not an at risk person. No masks aren't bad for you, no they don't do anything with your co2 levels, and you can tough out putting them on when Nurses/doctors and other professions wear masks for 8 hours a day no problem.
Anything other than masks that's pissing you off about Canada go ahead, but Covid/wearing a mask is not some lizard man hoax or a plan to microchip all of us.
The only other valid point that I can see complaining about is the lack of travel but the entire world is dealing with the same issue right now and you are not locked in Canada you can still travel if you really have to.
I agree to disagree.
just a few portions of our charter of rights and freedoms.
The charter rights — including the right to peaceful assembly and free association, the right to enter and leave Canada, the right to travel to any province, the right to pursue a livelihood, the right to a trial and to be tried within a reasonable time, and the right to life, liberty and security of the person — are supposed to be universal and inalienable.
You're not getting my point.
I dont care about masks.
I'm at work and wearing a snazzy one right now
I care that an administration can day "Fuck the charter" and throw it out the window
We are a democracy.
The fact that our government can step on and ignore even A SINGLE sentance in our charter should SCARE the ever living fuck out of you.
It's not even about the ones they've stepped on and ignored.
It's about precedent.
Precedent in law trumps all, it creates a new legal platform.
We have allowed the Charter to be ignored, basically opening us up to any number of negative scenarios.
I think Trudeau is a fucking moron... but not evil.
What happens if an evil man takes power?
With this sort of precedent... I am worried l.
